It pretty much covers a small radius as it's a night light, so for those who want a bright light that lights up the whole room, don't get a red night light, get a white proximity light (or just a lamp). I have a white proximity light I bought here that lights up my stairs and landing when I need to go to the bathroom at night or go downstairs for something and don't want to fully wake up. This is not suitable for that. Also if you have children and want a children's night light, this might be too dark for them. This is really for seeing silhouettes and not tripping on things on the floor, not for illuminating the room.

**Q: Can the auto sensor be de-activated? Trying to devise a "traffic light" get-up/back-to-sleep guide combined with a timer switch for dementia**
A: The sensor is underneath the device.  Covering it causes the light to turn on.  Therefore, I'm sure that what you're trying to do could be done easily by sticking some tape over the sensor.  The light would then be permanently on as long as it had power.  The power switching could be provided - as you suggest - with a timer.

**Q: Has anyone experienced burning???**
A: No burning but it did blow our electric at 3am!!
I sent it back a bought one from Lidl!
I would NOT recommend this item!!

**Q: Do these garden genie gloves  work well for digging, raking,and weeding?**

A: Once the night lite is set it will automatically switch on when it gets dark and turn on when it gets light.

Exactly what I wanted. A subtle red light that is easy to sleep with, yet provides enough light to see where you are walking and faint silhouettes so you wont bump into things. Not sufficient to be used to illuminate a room sufficiently. I was hoping it would be suitable to leave on so that I could change a newborn in the night but it just isn't bright enough. Great for a toddler waking in the night though.
