It says it's small but I think its pretty big to be honest, not sure you would need a larger one on your bedside table, though they do a larger size one if you are looking for something a bit more dramatic. The first one of these we had broke, there is a little on/off switch in the bottom, thought to be fair it was pushed in a bit too roughly, but it's something to consider. Sent it back and was replaced by Amazon promptly. I like the fact that it is battery operated, thought the option to use a mains adapter would have been a nice touch. Β This mood light is well-designed and highly portable: it's extremely realistic, it feels good to hold, it's light -but durable- and it's 'wireless' as the light works exclusively with batteries. It doesn't support a power adapter, but it's not a big deal for me. It gives out very little light, more of a glow, but it looks good. I thought it would be a little bigger and give off more light but the size thing is my own mistake for not checking. The face is a little more angular then traditional storm troopers, the nose bit (I'm not the fan in the family) is more pointy with a harsher slope and the side vents are at the top of the ridge rather then side..
