Review: Blown my mind £150 really?! Thanks LG I love you (the neighbours, not so much) - LG LOUDR CM4560 700 W Home Audio System with Auto DJ, DJ Effect and Bluetooth - Black Yes it is a micro hifi (fits nicely in our Ikea 4x4 or 4x2 units) costing £150... its going to be rubbish right? Wrong wrong wrong brimming over with wrong ability. It's awesome. Simple to use and excellent sound quality. This CM4560 isn't loud as in we're now holding Trance Parties, well it is but by the time you had 30 people in the room you'd be reaching for the volume up with nothing left to go. It is just loud enough to blow your mind and maybe a small gathering in a large lounge don't expect to take it down your local community hall and charge admission. Make sure your neighbours are out and crank it up. 90% of max volume is as far as you should need to go. After a couple of hours with this playing my favourite Trance tracks I would require a surgeon to remove this smile from my face... shivers... honestly shivers... :D In hind sight I wish I had bought the CM8460 at £400 or the CJ87 at £350 purely because this 700w system is so good, I am now fascinated at how good the 2350w hifi's would have been, it's mind boggling !! I am using it through bluetooth connected to my iMac or iPhone not sure I need all the other connections but I'm sure they'll be useful. Brings the enjoyment back to listening to music and as other reviewers have already mentioned you will be constantly wanting to turn the volume up and up so probably not a great purchase for your teenage son/daughter if you live in a terraced house or just hate their style of music...
Review: ... getting used to this system but I am very pleased with it - I'm just getting used to this system but I am very pleased with it. The sound quality is very good and the styling is very smart. There is a number of different equaliser and effect settings so you can set it for different types of music. The radio tuner is pretty good and you can record onto USB. The only thing I would say is that the speaker wires are a bit short but it doesn't cost a fortune or much time and effort to extend them. A length of speaker cable and a connector block less than a fiver and about 10 minutes work. A great system for the price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ LG Nails It ... almost
*by M***H on 25 September 2016*

I had the LG CM4350 which I rated highly so I was curious to see what this beast of a system could offer. The first thing I noticed before unpacking was how heavy the system was, it's really a 2 man job to carry it as the box is about 6 feet long. Carefully unpacking the system revealed speakers that were far bigger than I was expecting. The main left and right speakers are virtually square and have quite a large footprint, meaning they overlapped my speaker stands by a good couple of inches. The sub woofer is even bigger but they all share the same size drive units. In comparison they made the speakers of my previous CM4350 system look quite tiny so it was interesting to see how this system compared in terms of sound quality. The power output is a considerable 700 watts RMS with about 230 watts going to both the left and right speakers and 240 watts to the sub woofer, in effect this system has the power to shake the floor and have your neighbours banging on the door complaining! The first thing you'll notice is just how powerful this system sounds, not just at high volumes but at low volumes where it's in cruise control mode. If there is another system on the market that can produce the sheer power and bass punch of this system then I have yet to find it, and the amazing thing is that you get all this for a mere £159, although I now see Amazon has increased the price to £200. A system isn't all about the bass punch but what the overall sound is like, and in this respect it doesn't disappoint either. LG have really nailed this system, as I have put in the title, but there is one area which is disappointing and why I have knocked off a star. Although LG describe this system as having an equaliser it doesn't, it has various pre-set equaliser modes but not a separate equaliser. There are 2 separate equaliser sound settings, one which covers various music modes i.e. rock, pop, jazz. classical, flat, standard etc and one which LG describes as a 'region equaliser' which covers music from various parts of the world. It's crazy, they offer a superb affordable music system and then have all these different pre-set modes without the user being able to taylor the sound with simple bass, mid and treble controls!!! Having got that criticism out of the way lets get round to trying to describe the sound. Going through the first equaliser settings I'm sure the majority of people would choose the bass setting as being the most pleasing. It's very similar to the rock setting, but rather than just boosting the bass, which is what the rock setting does, it also increases the treble to give a more clearer balanced sound, as well as that gut churning bass. To my ears there is just a tad of clarity missing which is where the region equaliser comes into it's own. Comparing the region settings to the bass setting there is a setting which LG call AxE. I haven't got a clue what it means, but it adds that lack of clarity offered by the bass setting without losing any of the bass punch. I use this setting for all my listening as the sound is sweet and clear and mighty powerful. I would go so far as to say that the only other time I have heard this type of power and presence is when I've been to a live concert at the O2 Arena. A sweeping statement to make, especially for such a low priced system, but I can't think of another analogy. I've had separate systems in the past costing £3,000, just for a vinyl playing system and I've never been able to achieved the life like dynamic sound this system produces. The only problem being that because the sound is so sweet and clear, you want to keep turning the volume up, which is definitely going to annoy your neighbours. With lesser systems you find yourself turning the volume down, or turning it off completely. It's called listening fatigue which is something we subconsciously get when the sound is hurting our ears. In summary, as you might have guessed, this is a system which can take on the very best for a ridiculously low price. To put it into perspective people are buying tiny Bluetooth speakers for more than the cost of this system, which just goes to show what great value for money this system really is. I'm sure there must be systems out there that can match or better it, but the cost would run well into 4 figures without a shadow of a doubt. The only caveat I would say is that it's an absolute MUST to put the main speakers on a firm rigid surface, or better still good speaker stands. Put them on a flimsy shelf and the bass would suffer badly, especially if they were placed near a wall. The sub woofer can sit on the floor but the main speakers must be at listening height with no obstructions to get the best out of them. LG have produced an affordable great sounding hi-fi system for all .. it's just a shame about the lack of an equaliser.
