The Robust feel of old-school quality!
The weight and feel of this small machine, as my headline states, is robust and classy like an italian vespa! It feels like a machine that for once, WASN'T built with built-in-obsolescence in mind, this feels like it was built to last! Which as far as i'm concerned in this day and age, is unheard of...... at least it seems to me like it doesn't really happen anymore. I went for the Italian red with black fixtures, I mean red n black c'mon.....What can I say It looks great!! Functionality? The water was really perfect, nice and hot but not scold-your-mouth and burn your bean kinda hot! What else, Ohhhh the handle! Pffft when I pulled tht sucker down it had a weighty feel to it, I was pulling a handle.... downward, y'know something a newborn could do, but it felt like I had scaled olympus, performed Herculean tasks, carried the world a-top my shoulders like Atlas. What i'm saying is, It's bizarre how satisfyingly good it can feel to use good quality machinery. What else? You want more? Have I already drunk four cups of coffee? can you even get drunk off of coffee? I dunno you tell me! More:- It came with a luxury looking box of 14 free Nespresso coffee capsules. For some who get carried away with the machine and forget to buy the coffee, without the coffee, this machine serves no purpose, so that's full functioning all in one box, this will be a welcomed surprise and an instant smile generator! Plug it in, press and hold the two buttons and it's on. Add your H2O Not to be confused with J2O, add your favourite flavour capsule while you wait the 5 seconds for it to finish it's start-up process and it's ready. A note, Although the coffee was great, beautifully blended with that lovely creamy barista coffee look... It didn't puncture the capsule the first time I pulled the handle down. Not an issue!! and definitely not a complaint. It's actually a pleasant surprise, i've used these machines countless times and a lot of them don't always puncture the capsule, in fact i'd say it's a regular occurence. My point is that some machines try to send the water through anyway, and there's this huge mess all over the shop. With this, you just lift the handle up, retrieve your capsule from the container underneath, and pull it down again, Presto! Or Nes'Presto Just a small copyright/name change there for you guys. It's so fast and simple you clearly shoulda called it that, You can have that one for free! Feel free to send me all the stuff you'd like reviewed ok! Cheers for the coffee!

Good product at a good price
I was ticked off for making a mess with a cafetiere. This machine is simple to use and makes little mess: you simply refill with water daily, empty the tray of used capsules, and empty the drip tray. The machine occupies little room and is neat in appearance. Make sure you have an electric socket next to where you will place the machine: the cord is short. The machine uses very high pressure to push water through the coffee resulting in a good density and taste. The brand name capsules are expensive at c. 30p each. I buy them in Lidl at 18p and find the quality just as good. This machine is sold at a good price.

Wrong Plug
The basic product is fine - it's a simple coffee machine, what can go wrong The only problem was that for some reason it came with a primitive 2 round pin plug. It was no big deal to buy a modern plug and fit it but it did mean another day without decent coffee Had they made this clear in the product description I could have ordered the plug at the same time and avoided the delay The lack of clarity was more of a problem than the oldie worldie plug

Nespresso By KRUPS Inissia Ruby Red
Superb machine. Very simple to use, which is just as well because the instructions that come with it are very poor. The machine comes with 16 different capsules so you can try varying coffee's with different intensity ratings. The coffee is very good indeed, and it is produced very quickly so you're not waiting around. It's very easy to maintain and I am happy to recommend it to anyone looking for such a machine. I personally did not see the value of paying an extra ยฃ50 or so for an extra aerocinno that basically heats up your milk and whisks it at the same time. I can do that myself with a pan or microwave - but each to their own on that one. The bottom line is that the coffee is fantastic and the machine is well made and easy to use.

Wrong plug type for the UK.
Arrived promptly, but did not have a UK plug, none of the writing was in english. Total waste of time, had the hassle of returning it. They really need to do better than that!

Wrong plug
Perfect machine, ideal replacement to the one I had. But not much good if youโre in the UK and the product is only made for use in Italy. So very disappointed. Buyer beware.

Simple, robust, fast, good value, makes great coffee - hmm, make that fairly good coffee...
We bought this primarily to take on holiday in our Hymer motorhome. It (the motorhome) has the most over-engineered piece of kitchen cabinetry I have ever seen, a small section of the upper cupboards that slides downward for access. We put the toaster in it to start with but it was absolutely crying out for a small coffee machine. We already own a bean-to-cup Delonghi at home, so we are no strangers to the world of real strong rich fresh coffee. So we are not blown away by what this machine produces as others might be when comparing it to instant. But it does produce very good coffee, nice and hot and with a rich thick crema. Most of the larger bean to cup machines, ours included, seem to operate at 15 bar pressure. This machine is 19 bar. Basically, the higher the pressure, the more flavour is extracted from the coffee, and the more crema (brown froth on top) is produced. It feels solid and well made. I was expecting the big looping handle that operates the pod slot to be plastic but it is actually metal. It is extremely simple and easy to operate, and has no useless unnecessary bells and whistles like the idiotic flashing LED lights adorning the Russell Hobbs electric kettle we bought recently. It just makes coffee, quickly and efficiently, and it is rather good at it. The water tank at the back has a flip up lid where you can fill it, or alternatively it lifts off very easily. The big handle opens the slot where the pods go, and when you open it, any previous used pod falls through in to the small waste holder inside, which also incorporates the drip tray. The external drip tray folds up if you want to use a larger mug, and this also drains in to the inner tray when you do this, so it doesn't make a mess on the worktop. Many reviews seem to complain that it is noisy. Of course it makes a noise, forcing water at high pressure through coffee grounds is not trivial. But this is one of the quieter machines that I have encountered. It really isn't that bad. The only drawback I can see so far is the huge variety of pods available, some of which seem aimed at espresso, others at lungo (the larger dose available). You get a selection of 16 in the box, I also bought one of the variety multi packs available on here to experiment with. According to the Nespresso website there are 24 different pods! It is going to take a lot of testing to find the ones we like best! UPDATE: After a few weeks of use and experimenting, I am revising this down to 3 stars. The machine, as far as the mechanics go, is great. It is quick, simple, easy to use, it has great pressure. BUT, there is one glaring design flaw that is hard to get around. The pods. They are simply TOO SMALL. When you buy a proper coffee in a cafe, or use a bean to cup machine, a great big cake of grounds is used. There is a reason for that. Nespresso have not found a way of magically using less coffee than anyone else uses to make a great cup. You really do need that much coffee to make a really good strong cup. Even an espresso. These pods are just too small, there is just not enough coffee there to make a really good strong rich flavoursome cup. We have tried all the Nespresso pods now, and some French ones during our recent holiday there, and once we got over the initial excitement of the new machine, we have really struggled to find one that gives us a cup we really go WOW over. It's all drinkable, and probably better than your average instant, but nothing special compared to anything either a cafe or our bean to cup machine can cough up. In fact, the most flavoursome two pods we have found are a French Ristretto one (branded L'Or Espresso), and Nespresso's own decaf pods. Out of all the Nespresso pods, we have found in fact that the decaf ones give the most flavour. We tend to drink decaf in the evenings, so we will drink this in preference to any decaf instant we have found. And it was fun using it in the motorhome. But, in the longer term, we are not going to be using this nearly as much as we first thought. Pity. If the pods were a bit larger, this would be truly superb.

Good machine
If you are looking for easy operating coffee machine then this is a really good buy. Easy to clean up too. The only drawback I would say is that the coffee pods are expensive so on an average a cup of coffee will cost you around rs.80
