I've been a user of Aveda Be Curly ... *by B***L on 5 February 2017* WOW! This product is amazing. I've been a user of Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer for 12 years. I've never been able to find anything that came close, until this. Ordered it Friday, had is on Saturday and went out with the most amazing defined curls on Saturday. You do have to use it as directed though and fluff it up once it's dry, that gives volume and gets rid of any crunch leaving soft bouncy spiral curls (well for me it did). I'm a total convert now and ordering another bottle today as a standby! I've now also ordered the conditioner. Check out the Curly Girl Handbook, it really helps with naturally curly hair technique. Another point, I was short on time, I always am, so I used my diffuser on really low heat to speed up the process and then massaged the roots once done, I also dried my hair mostly upside down.I hope this review helps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3C Curly hair *by L***S on 1 April 2018* I have type 3C, dark blonde, top of the boob when pulled out, length hair, humidity changes the amount of fuzz! Also used in conjunction with DV No-poo and One Condition. (reviewed seperately)I ditched the Moose after 30 years! This feels sticky on the hands, trial and error with the amounts to use (Heaped 10p size for me) too much could make it heavy on finer curly hair so be careful. Definitely defines the curl more, I usually get more frizz on the ends where the hair is dryer, this has not happened. Odd to use after so many years of hair moose but worth the money. After applying the gel then wrapping is a soft towel I also topped up with the Supercream Coconut curl (See seperate review). My hair is so much softer and looks in better condition. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Sadly, I was a little disappointed in this product *by P***A on 8 February 2014* I was expecting a miracle balm which would offer great control and which would also free me from the many products I put on my hair. First, let it be known that I am a product junkie. Naturally curly hair is a beast to care for, and I have used everything from Kerastase to Aveda to Garnier. The DevaCurl offered very little hold the first time I used it, and based on the helpful comment of another purchaser, I thought perhaps it was my Kerastase oil that I had put on my hair that made it less effective. The gel worked a little better without the oil, but my hair felt dry. I think this gel works best if hair is not blow-dried with a diffuser and is left to air dry and if you don't want too much definition in your curls. As many of the other curly girls on this site have said, I really wanted to love this product. Alas, the smell reminds me of cheap drug-store gel that I used in my teens, and the hold leaves a lot to be desired.
