Review: Spacious, Sturdy and Very Practical - The Sistema KLIP IT food storage container is excellent quality and very practical. The 9.6L capacity is ideal for storing larger items, bulk food, or meal prep, and it fits neatly in the fridge or freezer thanks to its stackable design. The clips close securely to create an airtight seal, helping to keep food fresh for longer. The container feels strong and well made, and it’s easy to clean. I also appreciate that it’s BPA free, which gives extra peace of mind. Overall, a reliable and versatile storage container that does exactly what it’s meant to do. Great value for money and highly recommended. Review: Very securely stackable, really nice containers - I already had one of these Sistema Klip It 2-litre container and I really liked it, so I decided to buy another when I saw it on desertcart. (I have seen them at Tesco as well but the price seems to be better on desertcart.co.uk, so I decided to buy them from desertcart.) "Clip" type of containers can be a little difficult to close, but this one is extremely easy - the clip stays on the body of the container rather than being on the lid, and it's on hinges. Some of the 'clip down' type of containers can 'pop' the lid clip a bit too easy (some clips sometimes do not stay shut) but I have never had any problems with Sistema Klip It ones at all. Maybe it's due to employing a rather different clip system from other 'clip closure' type of containers. They are also easier to close than the standard, non-clip lid type, and you can always be sure that the lid is properly closed through reassuring 'clip' sound. Another advantage of Sistema Klip It containers is that they are securely stackable. They do not tend to fall off when I stack them. I use some of them on a sailing boat and the stack do not fall off even when the boat is heeling right over. I do not think I have seen other containers of this type that are more secure than Sistema ones when they are stacked. You can also stack many different Sistema products together quite securely. I have a 'vertical' style 1.9 litre Sistema containers stacked on top of this one. In addition, they keep the moisture in as well as out. As the boat tend to be prone to condensation and moisture, I keep my tools and other items in these containers to keep moisture (and resulting potential rust) away. They work really well. Removing the large label at the side is very easy - it comes off very cleanly without any residue. The one at the bottom is slightly more difficult (it tends to rip easily) but it is not too difficult to clean what little residue it may leave. Keep the large label from the side, and just 'pat' the residue on the bottom with and it comes off cleanly. ## Features - Capacity: 5l - Dishwasher safe - Material: Plastic ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00284AG5K | | Best Sellers Rank | 3,705 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 52 in Containers | | Brand | Sistema | | Capacity | 5 litres | | Closure Type | Snap | | Colour | Blue | | Container Shape | Rectangular | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 23,946 Reviews | | Food Storage Container Airtightness | Airtight | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00735343833779, 09414202018502 | | Is the item dishwasher safe? | Yes | | Is the item microwaveable? | Yes | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 26.1L x 23.3W x 12H centimetres | | Item Form | [Rectangle] | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Volume | 21 Cups | | Item Weight | 12.7 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Sistema Plastics | | Material | Plastic | | Material Features | Safe for food contact, keeps seal airtight | | Material Type Free | phthalates | | Material feature | Safe for food contact, keeps seal airtight | | Other Special Features of the Product | Flexible | | Product Care Instructions | Dishwasher safe on top shelf, microwave safe without lid, refrigerator and freezer safe. | | Product dimensions | 26.1L x 23.3W x 12H centimetres | | Recommended Uses For Product | Ingredients, Leftover, Meal Prep, Take-Out | | Size | 5 L | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sistema - **Capacity:** 5 litres - **Colour:** Blue - **Material:** Plastic - **Material feature:** Safe for food contact, keeps seal airtight ## Images ![Sistema KLIP IT Food Storage Container | 5 L | Airtight & Stackable Meal Prep Container with Lid | School Lunch Box | BPA-Free | 1 Count - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71jElbKzoBL.jpg) ![Sistema KLIP IT Food Storage Container | 5 L | Airtight & Stackable Meal Prep Container with Lid | School Lunch Box | BPA-Free | 1 Count - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81tLvbuThAL.jpg) ![Sistema KLIP IT Food Storage Container | 5 L | Airtight & Stackable Meal Prep Container with Lid | School Lunch Box | BPA-Free | 1 Count - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8158HW8T+QL.jpg) ![Sistema KLIP IT Food Storage Container | 5 L | Airtight & Stackable Meal Prep Container with Lid | School Lunch Box | BPA-Free | 1 Count - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81-6gqyFM9L.jpg) ![Sistema KLIP IT Food Storage Container | 5 L | Airtight & Stackable Meal Prep Container with Lid | School Lunch Box | BPA-Free | 1 Count - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91hvtJHOo7L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: what is the height and lenght of this 5L box??** A: H-12cm ... W-23.5cm .. L-26cm (including blue fasteners) Dimensions quoted above are not quite right. I bought 2 based on those can't fit both on the shelf by just 1cm! **Q: Would be useful to know the size of containers in metric measurements.** A: Hi Rita, sorry for delayed reply. the box measures 240mm x 213mm x 100m. I bought it for cake storage and is perfect for sponges and larger cakes. I tend to use it "upside down" by sitting the cake on the lid - works perfectly! Hope this helps. **Q: Can I keep in freezer to store bits and pieces? Wondering if in freezer constantly it may crack?** A: I haven't had a problem with Sistema in the freezer but I have had other plastic containers that have cracked. **Q: Would this be suitable for 36 pack of weetabix** A: Thank you much appreciated :-) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spacious, Sturdy and Very Practical *by A***R on 10 January 2026* The Sistema KLIP IT food storage container is excellent quality and very practical.
