Affordable and very good value
Purchased this on a tight budget to upgrade from a now ancient FX 6300. Suffice to say that I'm impressed. The performance difference is huge, both in gaming and overall swiftness of the system. For 89£ I would say it's a bargain. Yes, you need a new AM4 motherboard to support it, but that gives you an easy upgrade path to a more potent CPU like a 2600, 2700 or maybe 3rd gen Ryzen when they come out, not to mention the improved memory system in DDR4 which is at least 2 times faster than the previous. And the cooler included is quiet and enough for the job, if you don't OC. Would definitely recommend

Great bang for buck!
Bought as a new-build for a cheap VR PC. Works fine with this CPU, 1050ti and 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM. The CPU performance seems fine - at around 8200 PC marks at stock frequency and 9000 @ 3.7GHz. Scores 690 on Cinebench r15 at stock clocks and around 760 at 3.7GHz. It was having stability issues @ 3.8GHz, but I didn't try any voltage adjustments since it's not going to be my PC and I don't want the recipient to have any issues that they can't resolve on their own. This is a great little processor and I'd buy this again.

Great for low end starter build.
This was not intended for a powerful pc, AMD, great processor, has a great fan. Solid built.

Surprisingly powerful
This is a powerful processor and great value for money coming with its own cooler. This was a little noisy at first but on looking at it I found my machine was running it flat out and once I put a fan curve on it got much quieter. It is nice that it isn't too power hungry but for all that is noticeably faster that the fx-6300 it replaces.

Good CPU
Very good bang for the buck CPU, Handle every game i throw at it with my GTX 1060 at over 60 FPS ultra settings.

Excellent performance for the price
I was a bit hesitant buying such a new type of CPU but it's been absolutely fine and performs really well. Probably the best value CPU out there right now.

Great money for value.
This product is great for the money was easy to install and fast shipping. Nothing to complain about, would deferentially recommend to people who are starting of with gaming but if you can spend a little more, a high version would increase your performance but this product is deferentially good for the money and worth buying.

Ok but read my comment
New Ryzen 5 processor, works well, the only problem with this processor is there are no graphics in the chip and will only boot up with a graphics card installed. The Ryzen 7 does have graphics in the chip.

Ryzen 5 1400

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A DEDICATED GPU
It's a great CPU and an excellent deal considering the 2000 series isn't a huge jump in performance at this level and costs more $$. It's important to note that you WILL need a dedicated GPU to use this CPU even on a board with ports for video. If you need to use onboard video get a CPU with GPU capability (like a 2400G, anything in the G series or with Vega cores) otherwise you'll have a bad time. Paired with a simple cheap $30 GPU this thing moves though, and it's nice to have the GPU even if you're not gaming to keep the heat off the board. The price difference is negligible and worth it. Even a base model HD 5450 or 6450 1GB can do a lot for basic games and simple rendering, making a budget machine punch way above it's price point. Move to a nice GPU and you have a lot of machine for the money.
