The only benefit in struggling to make this mat work was for me to try the simple way and attach via sucker to windscreen, perfect as it sits right behind and a tad above the built in satnav, not paying BMW £200 a year for them to update maps so got a TomTom from Amazon. Can't believe I struggled for 19 days driving through France and Spain with me having to glance down at it's previous position, on windscreen works a treat and in the exact same position I got this mat for, so be warned it does not work with this model of car.
