Perfect! Recovering from Septoplasty surgery and started doing the rinses after 1 week, such a relief. Easy to use, plenty of sachets and will order more. Nose feels clean, starting to breath more clearly and having the sachets all pre-made saves a lot of bother!

I have never ever written a review but i think this product deserves one!! A very good one at that :-)I have to admit , I think I will be using this product for life .It is excellent!!!... and has become part of my daily routine as with washing , tooth brushing and flossing etc.I have suffered from debilating sinus infections. At least 4 a year. And with every one I feel absolutely awful, I wouldn't wish them on anyone..Once an infection has got hold ,the only cure is a very strong course of antiboitics, which my stomach is not too keen on and I then live dreading and awaiting the next infection!Steroid sprays did not help prevent them. I have tried many antibiotics for this condition in the past , but unfortunately only the very strong antibiotics work!! I was desperate and then I came across this product!!Unfortunately I am now suffering from an awful sinus infection. - But I have to say this is MY FIRST ONE IN A YEAR NOW since using Neilmed Sinus Rinse .My GP wont prescribe the antibiotics till I have suffered for a week to ensure that what I am suffering from is not viral.Understandable I know !! But before I was using Neilmed Sinus Rinse I felt like I was suffering most of the time. NOW A WHOLE YEAR HAS GONE BY WITHOUT AN AWFUL INFECTION or any blinding headaches and I definately put in down to my daily use of this product. ONE INFECTION IN ONE YEAR, COMPARED TO FOUR OF FIVE!!! amazing!!!My thoughts.. prevention is better than cure.I boil up approx 1500 ml of water and add 6 sachets to this and let it cool .I then poor it into a large plastic bottle and store it in the fridge and this lasts approx 6 days! Every morning I fill up my sinus rinse bottle(without the nasal attatchment as this melts in the microwave) I microwave the solution for approx 40 secs- but every microwave is different so everyone should adjust accordingly - and voila. The solution is ready for use. No waiting for boiled water to cool etc..Its very quick and doesn't impeed on my time.The boiled solution will be preserved for at least a week if kept re frigerated!!I really do recommend this product to anyone who suffers from sinus problems.It is NOT uncomfortable to use- although I had my misgivings before first using it , but unlike you might think ,it doesnt cause the pain you feel when water goes up your nose when jumping in a pool .It is surprisingly comfortable and much more comfortable and easier to use than a neti pot ( I tried this for a couple of weeks but although it did flush out the nasal cavity, I fould it difficult to use,very messy and uncomfortable on the nose.)To anyone reading this ,you are obviously suffering in one way or another with your sinus' and are looking for help and a solution .Well I recommend you give this a try.Trust me it will be money well spent and you will never look back!!!!

I was skeptical about this product, but having suffered nasal problems (thin passages leading to breathing difficulties during a cold/hayfever and post nasal drip) and pretty desperate to try anything (except surgery) I gave it ago. Initially, it felt like a miracle worker, having not known "normal breathing (and unmuffled hearing for years. But very quickly you get used to that and then it doesn't seem so effective. And you have to keep up use. I would lapse and only use it when I had sever symptoms (and it can't unclear an already blocked nose) So the product IS effective initially (washing out pollen and irritants and with continue to be moderately effective with constant use. But with a cold or and a post nasal drip, it can be less effective. It's worth a go but like other reviewers, don't expect total relief as it will depend on how your nose!UPDATE 2012: I have despite my previous "average" review been using this product on and off now for about a year and a half. I must confess I don't use it every day or even every week, but when I start feeling the need to "clean the pipes" (dry nose, post nasal drip etc.) I've found that first using a nasal decongestant (like Sinex) opens up the airways to allow the solution better access to clearing the sinus's, right up to clearing even that feeling of blocked ears! Also, buying the pack of extra solution isn't such a big deal if you use it on and off like me. I tend to microwave the bottle with solution for 30 seconds to get the solution close to body temp for more comfort. SLOWLY squeeze the solution into the sinus to avoid a headache later- don't rush it! I tend to then put my head between my legs and then bring it up quickly (making sure not to crack your head on the sink!) to help drain as much as possible but it's worth keeping a tissue with you throughout the day incase of a drip. Do not use an hour before bed as it will then drain down your throat.It's a good product that does the job. Shame it's not a long lasting fix!

If you've never used a sinus rinse before, then, to say the least, you might find it a bit crude and it might take some getting used to. But persevere!Because, believe me, it really does help to use this product.The idea is very simple, you are irrigating and washing out the gunk in your sinuses.The practice of doing it is also very simple, involving a polyurethane squeezable bottle, with a screw on, conical shaped top, with a hole in the top and a tube running down into the bottle.Simply remove the top, add a sachet of the saline powder to the empty bottle, fill with luke warm bottled water (boil a little in the kettle and add to cold) replace the top firmly, shake the bottle with your finger firmly over the hole and use.To administer, hold your head forwards over something like a plastic bowl (you may want to put kitchen towel under the bowl) and gently insert the conical shape into one nostril and squeeze the bottle so that the water ejects up your nose. DON'T WORRY, it won't hurt! The sachet you added sees to that. What happens is the water goes in one nostril and comes out of the other, ejecting all the gunk. Do the same for the other nostril (you should be able to do both nostrils with one bottle).Once done, wash the bottle and top in washing up detergent and rinse thoroughly. It is important to use a clean bottle each time, as a dirty bottle will harbour germs.There is no limit to how many times you can use this in a 24 hour period, but I suggest no more than twice, as your nose has natural flora that needs to recover.If your doctor has prescribed a nasal steroid spray, make sure you use the Sinus Rinse before applying the steroid spray, or you will wash away the steroids effectiveness.I do not recommend the use of anti contestants, whilst using this product, as these medications have a rebound effect and can make your nose feel even more blocked, after they wear off.

Great quality, helps sinus issues

These were good value and convenient. It is easy to make your own saline solution but these are great for convenience. I used them when I had a nasal infection and was advised by my ENT doctor to do so. The nasal rinses kept my nose moisturised and comfortable. My ENT surgeon also advised that I added a 5ml glycerin to the mix to be extra moisturising. There is also the option of adding a glycerin/glucose mix which breaks down biofilm and tackles infections but this must be mixed in a sterile environment and I recommend buying these drops from a pharmacist.

I believe the product deserves five stars, because it really does what it says it does, and it does it perfectly. The only reason I take away two stars, is the lack of "better" warnings if used wrong.THE REASON I BELIEVE IT DESERVES FIVE STARS:This product works as it says and it is indeed working even on people that had problems for years, and nothing else worked. Well, at least it worked for my mother and I am amazed. My mother has had a problem with her nose getting full and her being unable to clear it or breath for many years, and I mean since I can remember her as a kid. She used many solutions to help her, but with the passage of time they became less and less good. Thankfully recently she has been using one that was from Brazil that actually worked, but still it does not compare to Neilmed's solution. Neilmed's solution does not unclog the nose, but more like it prevents it from getting clogged. Nothing can compare to that. She stopped finally grumbling about her nose and by using it once every day or every second day she can breath normally with no problems whatsoever.THE ONLY REASON I GIVE IT MINUS TWO STARS:It is of course because it does not stress it's warning even more. Or more like because it does not stress how severe can be the outcomes of wrong use. It is understandable that if the company would point out how bad the outcomes of wrong use are, less and less people would be trying to use it, but it makes me unhappy to think or my mother getting ear problems I would not have told her how ti use it right and tell her to never use it wrong because the outcomes will be severe. I was glad I first read on here and on the internet how bad the outcome of using it wrong can be and I made sure she understands too. I take away two stars because I feel that her getting ear problems would be so bad that her not having nose problems would not matter!

Amazing. when sick I use one in the morning and one before bed. Helps clear out that morning clog and relieve pressure. And I use before bed to have a fresh start and make falling asleep easier.

Fantastic! Easiest system I’ve used! Soothing relief.I’ve suffered from “allergy nose”, sinus headaches and general discomfort ENT discomfort for almost 60 years. I have tried various neti pots off and on for approximately 15. I always give up due to complications (read: laziness) with keeping things disinfected and wearing more saline solution on my top than makes it into my nose.This bottle is so, so much better. You have no idea. I will never be cured of my allergies, but rinsing my sinuses in the evening feels so freaking soothing, especially when the air is dry but allergens abound.The hardest part for me was reading the teeny print of the instructions, but that’s my normal, so no biggie, but *do* please fully read the instructions.I use *cooled* boiled tap water from my kettle and the included sachets. Right now just one sachet. No burning. No drowning feeling. No mess. I would use distilled water if there were a screw on funnel, but no luck. Tap water is fine as long as it has been boiled the recommended amount of time and allowed to cool.Before first use and after each use, I clean the bottle and cap with attached straw with tap water and dish soap per included instructions and microwave empty for 40 seconds to disinfect. After a few days, I bought the drying rack thing-a-ma-bob and highly recommend that, too.I’d say we’re talking 30 minutes from start to finish tops as a newbie.Remember, this will not cure you of seasonal allergies or those due to pet dander and basically life itself, but as an adjunct to my prescribed steroidal nasal spray, it’s so, so nice.
