Anyone tried this with the Apple iPod Hi-Fi dock?

I can now confirm that this item works perfectly with the Apple iPod HiFi speaker. I bought it specifically for that purpose a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it!

Can I use my BOSE remote control to skip the songs or playlists? Does LAYEN supports this feature?

Not sure about the Bose remote control...however....I have a Vita Audio unit and the remote skips tracks, volume control a treat with the wireless dock attached. You can still skip tracks with the phone, iPod, iPad that is connected to the Layen Dock...its a good piece of kit ! Recommended.

Does this support bluetooth controls? i.e. play/pause and forward/backward?

We have 2 in the house, both used with iPhones, both support all functions from the phone

Does this have an AUX 3.5mm jack for connecting with speakers, basically not using the dock slot at all?

No this one is for dock use only. they have a separate product that has a 3.5mm output
