I race cyclocross and the 4 side entry makes them superior for CX in my opinion, I'm clipped in quicker after the start and after the hurdles. I've also found they clear the mud better. So far no issues with durability but I've only been using them for a few months. Really pleased I went against the negative reviews, I'll be sticking with these from now on regardless of any durability problems, even if they only last a season they are much better for racing. I bought a rebuild kit but it wouldn't work as part of the old bearing was stuck inside the pedal body. So more wasted money and time.
