Well made and quick delivery Review: Reassuringly well made! - I should mention that I haven't in fact used this yet, so my five stars are based on this pedal's physical properties rather than its performance. I chose this one over all the rest of its type because it was physically the largest I could find, which together with the rubber underside I'm hoping will keep it in one place when I use it. It's satisfyingly heavy and seems to have just the right amount of resistance when closing it, which it does smoothly and quietly and does the same when returning to the open position. It appears to be very substantial and well made as you'd expect from Yamaha and it should be borne in mind that these pedals have to stand up to a lot of use and abuse so they need to be tough. However, anyone buying one of these must be sure that the keyboard/instrument they will be using it with has the option to change the polarity in software as it doesn't have a switch. I suppose it would work out of the box with any Yamaha gear and probably most other manufacturers too, but it's worth bearing that in mind. Incidentally, years ago I had a similar sustain/damper pedal from some other keyboard manufacturer which had a quarter inch jack socket at the back instead of a lead so you could use whatever length of cable you wanted and your choice of straight or right angled jack plug at either end. In order to be compatible, it must be wired in the correct polarity (all Yamaha keyboards are) AND have an CC pedal input. A very quick Google of 'Yamaha P125 specs' reveals that this model does not have such an input and so will not work with an FC7. Your alternative option is to use an in-line stereo audio volume pedal, such as a Boss FV-500L. Makes playing the keyboard much more worthwhile. *by J***B on 20 February 2017* Does the job. Seems well made. Use for my old Casio keyboard. Lead is a good length, nice size pedal. Does occasionally become 'inverted' as other users have said - ie. sometimes upon turning it on, it becomes: press=lack of sustain, release of pedal=sustain. Easily solved by turning keyborad on and off again. Dirt also gets quite easily stuck in the grooves of the pedal, and quite hard to clean due to the pedal's rubbery texture, but maybe i have a pariculalry dirty floor. Overall pleased, and would recommend for the price.
