Is put half in one bucket and spread over the pond and then wait for an hour to let the first bucket circulate then do the second half of the solution as this seems to work better many thanks gary **Q: Will this work for a small pond with no pump or filtration system?** A: My pond is small, under 200 gallons. I only have a small capacity £15 pump. No doubt the Clear Pond works so much better with a pump to help even distribution of the mixture BUT if you mix the correct amount thoroughly in a couple of gallons of water, then spread evenly with a rose attached to your watering can, then I see no reason for it not to work after a fashion but a pump is certainly a preferable addition even if like mine. My pond is nice ands clear after 8 weeks but it is early days yet. I have not added fish yet and I do have the pump on for 2-3 hours a day and I have a good amount of oxygenator plants which must help. After a few weeks the water was very murky brown and I couldn't really see the bottom. I found the product easy to use. I followed carefully the clear instructions for calculating the volume of water in the pond and therefore how much of the product I needed to apply. The water volume calculation could only be an estimate during to the irregular shape and depth of the pond, so if anything I decided to slightly underestimate the amount of product to apply. I mixed it with warm water in a bucket and decanted the mixture into a watering can fitted with a rose, then poured the mixture evenly over the pond surface. The water cleared gradually day by day until after a week it was as clear as could be expected. Now I can see everything at the bottom of the pond, so the product has been very effective, even during extremely hot weather.
