I am particularly interested in the thickness. Thanks.** A: The main body is 70mm x 70mm and 28mm deep. The overall depth from the front plug entry to the rear power socket engagement is 43mm One Comment. On the older models the time control device was at the 12,oclock position which made sense. In these later ones for some totally inexplicable and wholly illogical reason the control device is now at the 9 oclock position. I have had a couple of these new ones for some time and I still get the timings wrong when setting up or altering time. Apart from this these are still the best timing devices without question **Q: Trying to use it with a Computer but doesn't seem to work, any idea why? Tested it on a lamp and worked fine.** A: If you are using a Mac you can schedule the computer to startup and shutdown automatically so you don’t need to use a time switch. You can even set it to automatically log on if you need to. I’m not sure if this facility is available in Windows. **Q: don't know how to use it no instructions came with it , what are pins for** A: They do come with instructions lol... Because of its smaller size can fit on sockets some larger ones can not.
