JVC Wired Lightweight Headphones - Black, ‎HA-L50-B-E

I First brought a pair of these headphones about six years ago and still in use , I loved them so much I purposely searched Amazon for the exact same headphones when I decided to buy a second pair so I could leave a set in my bedroom as love listening to music at night. They are very light weight which I love and extremely comfortable to wear both the headband and on the ear, they are also the first headphones I have owned that stay put once on and never slip or move whether walking, sitting or even laying in bed, and maybe because of the form covers they don't make my ears hot either and never become uncomfortable even when worn for a long time . I was a little woried at first that the foam on the ear pads seemed quite thin but time has proven that they are extremely long lasting and can easaliy be replaced when needed as they just slip off and news ones slipped on . Importantly sound quality is brilliant used them with laptop, CD players , Tv , two different phone mp3 players and the sound has always been exceptionally good , I love listening to music and I would even say they inhance the sound and never distorts . I personly don't like " in the ear " ear plugs or headphones and in my mind there are an ideal alternative with being small, neat and very lightweight and although they dont fold down completly flat they do fold down to a size that means they can be easaliy carried in the hand, pocket , case, handbag etc. Bonus is they are also a very low priced set of headphones , low in price high in quality. Transaction went smoothly and they arrived very quickly.

Purchased for my wife who wanted a pair of light weight over ear headphones to use with her phone for general audio odds and ends. They are light weight and she is pleased with them. She said she wished they were slightly tighter on her ears but overall pleased with the build and sound quality. JVC are a good make and I’m sure they will last.

My older wired over ear headphones had earpads which were falling to bits so I chucked them and ordered these. I've just been listening to a Mozart piano concerto with them - excellent quality. Arcade Fire, Rebellion very clear, not that bassy. These JVCs are very low cost and also really tiny. They are now my standard ones to plug into the PC's mini hifi if it's late and my wife's gone to bed. They will also be useful on holiday. I also have some bigger bluetooth headphones but as my Pixel 6 Pro phone lacks an audio jack socket I just ordered a USB-C to stereo audio jack adaptor, so these will be my usual headphones in all sorts of situations, plane, train and on holiday. That's because they are so tiny when folded and so comfortable (on my very big head) in use. They are so small (over my big ears) that I'm not expecting them to keep out exterior sounds that much. But they cost so little for what they deliver!

Bought for elderly mum in hospital. Nice and lightweight with decent length lead. Very simple basic headphones, she seemed very pleased with them.

Having had a recent poor experience with an entry level german made wired set of headphones, which I had purchased to replace my 1980s Sennheiser HD 50 lightweight ones, I decided to go rock bottom and buy the nearest thing to my 1980s phones. Back in the 1980s when the Sony Walkman portable cassette and all it's multibrand imitations came about, lightweight headphones were the norm and you could buy some pretty good ones. Nowadays, trends have changed and all sorts of other headphone styles and types exist. The JVC lightweight headphones from Amazon were a snip at £7 and have reasonable audio quality. Conversely, my HD50s were £35 around 1988, which according to the Bank of England inflation calculator translates to £95, in 2020. So I've no gripe with the £7 JVC price tag. I gave the JVCs to my daughter because her latest headphones had 'failed' (see below). But being foldable and in the hands of a youngster, they have an inherent weakness. The hinge pin can become detached. Each side having a hing pin, which is metal and normally resides comfily in a plastic recess. Metal into plastic is not ideal and over time (7 months) and several dislocations later, this hypermobility has got to a stage where the headphones are no longer viable. That said, you could probably make them last longer were you to treat them well, not lean on them, nor wear them in bed/fall asleep etc. Finally, these have been the first headphones in which the cat has not been interested and this goes to their credit. Our cat has a reputation for cleaning his teeth by chewing cables. He has chewed the internet adsl cable and several sets of headphone leads to oblivion. The old acting adage'never work with children or animals' might well apply to the personal audio world. Some day a manufacturer will take this on board and there will follow a golden age of headphones.

Great for the price, adjustable, lightweight, comfortable so nothing to complain about. I wanted them to use with my Amazon Fire Kindle HD 10 (7th generation. I love my kindle but during the 2020 lockdown I needed to use my largest kindle for meetings, & one fault on them is poor sound. I had already bought ear buds but find they fall out occasionally. These headphones are fantastic & make Zoom a pleasure to use. I had no trouble hearing and speaking with them on, - I didn't feel like I sounded odd although I was a bit nervous at first. They fold away small & fit in my pencil case. I really love them. I can recommend these AND my kindle Both are a fraction of the price of other brands and SOOO MUCH BETTER . 👍

Sound quality is good. These headphones are inexpensive and lightweight, but rather flimsy, so easily broken if not careful. Stick to indoor use.

Ich hatte mir mehrere Kopfhörer gekauft und nach dem "Test" für diesen Entschieden. Gründe: Kabel ist lang genug. Der Klang ist wirklich gut. Ich nutze ihn um Ton vom Notebook zu hören (TV, TEAMS, Youtube usw.) Er sitzt locker auf den Ohren, so dass man trotz Brille keine Druckstellen am Ohr bekommt. Gleichzeitig bekommt man noch alles um einen herum mit. So schaue ich z.B. Fußball am Notebook und trotzdem kann ich mich mit meiner Partnerin unterhalten. Für mich perfekt. Nur die Kennzeichnung "R" / "L" hätte ich mir etwas besser zu "erfühlen" gewünscht. Falls das der Hersteller liest: die Nippel auf der einen Seite außen (wo sie jetzt sitzen) und auf der anderen Seite auf den 90° seitlichen Flächen wäre perfekt gewesen. Die vorhandene Vertiefung für "R" ist für mich nicht deutlich genug zu fühlen. Aber das ist "jammern auf hohem Niveau".
