Review: Game to Film genius - Having never played the game I come to this with fresh eyes and must say whomever made this film should take more games and put them to film This film is a work of genius and is full of action with an intelligent story that will keep you hooked all the way through and michael Fassbender makes his character Callum totally believable. . the story revolves around a group called the Templars whom are a religious group who want to totally control the human race and the main character has the genetic memory of an ancient assassin from the assassin's creed and he knows where an artifact is hidden that will give the Templars control. so they use technology to unlock those memories. Through the film you see Calum (Fassbender) have his mind overtaken by the assassins memories and as they blend together he takes on the personal and he also develops his lethal fighting skills.too. I don't want to give too much away here and for all those whom have played the game just put your brain away and enjoy the film itself. by far this is the best film I have seen in a very very long time and I certainly want more Review: Dark in Places - Assissin's Creed - The film does justice to the game franchise . It is very dark in places ( dark as in Not bright ) which meant I had to turn the brightness up on the tv. The extras are great and allow those who've never played the game, to get a better background understanding. Assassin's Creed [DVD ] The story is fast paste and changes from the past to the present more times than I've had hot dinners which could be a little confusing to those that don't play the game. The actual film is about one and a half hours long and the rest of the duration time is made up of the extras. I found the over all effect of the film was a little lacklustre for my own taste (being a big fan of the game) But I have given it a 5/5 mark on account that if you've not played the game then it is a really good film. There is no over or under acting and everyone plays their rolls very well. I watched this with my son who loved it. Its got plenty of action, drama and an amazing cast. I found it amusing seeing Jeremy Irons and Charlotte Rampling discussing the 'Apple of Eden' maguffin. I'm sure they were thinking more about the fat pay check at the end of the shoot.
