Review: A great and silent compact projector for the bedroom. - Not gonna have anything mind blowing to say about this projector, or anything incredibly insightful about it's specs. It's my first projector, but honestly it's the first one I'd ever even have considered. I originally got this as I live in a an apartment and I don't really have space for much of a projection setup, and I didn't really want to get a large screen TV especially considering how little I would use it and how much space it would have to occupy. This little projector comes in handy whenever I want to share a movie or a game but it does require a dark room, at only 1000 lumens. Good thing I live above the arctic circle, where the winters are long and dark. I actually prefer using this projector on it's eco/power saving mode, which makes it even dimmer but almost completely silent. With Eco mode, I've just moved this unit into my bedroom and have it reflecting on to a grey painted wall. I would never have considered to mount a projector into my bedroom just because of the incredibly annoying noise projectors can make, but this is so quiet I can even fall asleep to it. The bluetooth connectivity makes choosing and changing audio sources fairly easy I am considering getting this thing wall/roof mounted. I just have not been able to find a good mounting bracket as the projector only has 3 screw holes at the bottom, which is probably some really common mounting system I am completely oblivious too. As silly as it would have been, I think a standard camera tripod mount would have been great for this projector. One annoyance with this projector though, is the way the TV channel guide works. Whenever you enter it, to choose what your watching, it cuts out the background audio. This is a bit silly as many times I am watching the last few minutes of the news, don't really need to see whats happening and want to start looking at whats next. If I actually cared about TV this would probably be a pretty big annoyance, but I do most of my news watching on my computer and this is mostly for enjoying movies. So the fact that it has a TV tuner is only a plus for me. Oh and lastly, my unit came with a swapable UK power plug, no EU plug like many have stated. Easy thing to replace, most people probably have one in their own flavor already. Also it seems there are 2 versions of this projector package out there, one that comes with something called a "Magic remote" and the other comes with a bog standard black LG TV remote. I got the latter, prefer it it more, but just FYI for anyone who likes those magic remotes. Don't know which ones will be more available in the future, but I've gotten mine close to the time of writing this review so more likely this standard black remote is what you will receive.
Review: Amazing home cinema projector - Few things to clarify This is amazing projector if you are willing to use it as home cinema only. This is not good presentation projector so if you are looking for one just look for something else. Good points: - Absolutely No rainbow effect - like some people claim they can see (not sure how as it is impossible with this type of projector) - Amazing quality and very well calibrated, Black looks way better than on any other projector I ever had - Super easy to setup and even if you want to move it from room to another the adjustment will take no longer than 30 sec. I use it with chormecase and it does amazin job. - Bluetooth works like a treat - mine connects automatically to BOSE soundtouch without any problems - 3D works great with 3rd party brand / you need active DLP glasses - Light and small - 1080p video looks absolutely amazing - Bright enough for evening watching / it's actually as bright as my other well known brand projector with 2000 lumens mounted 4metres away from the wall. - Way cooler than DLP projectors it does not blow hot air even after 3 hours watching in a row. - Amazing for playing games - I have tried only racing games and I could not see any delay at all. Bad points: - If watching on lowest energy saving = brightest - the projector is very loud not loud enough to ruin the film but is noticeably whisling noise might be quite annoying for some people. As it is located in front it's less annoying than projector mounte above your head. - Sharpness across the whole screen / yes it is true that bottom of the screen is less sharp than mid and top part but for watching films there is no way to tell the difference. For presentations / business meeting it might be bit unpleasant but again this is not presentation projector. I watch on 110" and the image is still crisp as it could be and I do not use screen just plain wall. So if you are looking for projector that is small, that you can put on your sideboard and watch films / tv or play games or move it from room to another this is the best projector you can buy. It''s not a business projector nor it will replace the TV unless you watch only in evenings. There is no way you can watch films in day time with blinds up but to be honest most of them are impossible to watch unless you have a venue projector that would work well. I'm very picky about technology and being IT guru for last 15 years I can honestly say this is very versatile product with ultra short throw which makes watching films very good experience. I hope it will last a long time as I don't see myself replacing it anytime soon. 4* only because it's louder that I would expect otherwise it would be 5

A: The EU version I received, is different from the one in the picture. The main difference being it isn't a smart version and doesn't come with the Magic remote as in other regions. The ports are also different, it doesn't have a LAN connection and only has 1 USB port but does gain a VGA connection.

A: It only works with its own 3d glasses from lg. It will not work with tv 3d glasses.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Superb!
*by J***M on 31 December 2016*

I am really pleased with this projector. It was great value for money in the sale. It really delivers an excellent picture and benefits from led technology to give 30000 hours lamp life! Also, it comes with a 3 year warranty. I have had no issues with focus. The picture, even at 100" is focused at the top and bottom of the screen (attached photo is a 100" image projected on to a magnolia wall, at middle eco mode, and the image is great!). The only thing to be aware of is the brightness. I find in a dark room, a 100" picture is great, even at the middle eco mode (quieter fan). In a room with a little light, a 80" picture still looks good. It probably would not be as good in a bright room so I would advise looking at alternatives if you are purchasing for a bright room. However, for my use, in a darkish environment, it is the best £699 I have ever spent. Fan noise is not too bad, considering that the projector is in front of where you sit. The eco mode is good as the noise is reduced but picture still good in a dark environment. 3D mode from Blu-ray player works really well. I had to purchase some glasses but they were quite cheap. the effect is great. For some reason, I can't get my Sky 3D to work but will try again soon. Overall, an excellent projector for a moderately light or dark environment.
