I don't use any apple products so I chose this model. It's been working great for me so far. **Q: Does this require a hub** A: It doesn't require a hub to unlock your door via Bluetooth on your cell phone. With a "smart keypad" you can unlock your door with by inputting your code into the keypad programmable via your cell phone.
