Value for monies indeed and is exceptionally healthy for the turtles just don't think my filtration system agrees with it so i will have to clean inside my filtration system more regularly than before. It is so bad for your turtle. Buy Cuttle Bone instead it leaves no cloud and is 100% healthy. Please don't buy this it's so toxic Nd can make your turtle seriously ill **Q: Do this go into the filter or tank?** A: Tank **Q: Is this suitable for tortoises ?** A: This isn't meant for tortoises and is meant for slow release in water for aquatic turtles/terrapins. My terrapin bit it to pieces quickly and probably consumed some too without harm. I would think a tortoise, especially a large one, would quickly destroy it too, and perhaps consume too much in one go. Zoo Med do a larger tortoise block which I have found excellent for my tortoises. It is bigger, more substantial, and therefore takes the tortoise much longer to consume the calcium and wear down its beak in the process.
