I wore them in minus temperatures and heavy snow during my trip to Manali, including mountain hiking and trekking, and they performed extremely well. The grip is outstanding — very stable on snow and rocky trails, which is exactly what you need in such conditions. They also provide solid ankle support, which really helps during long hikes and uneven terrain. On top of that, they offer great protection from cold, rocks, and rough surfaces, making them ideal for trekking. Comfort-wise, they’re much more comfortable than they look and the fit is exactly as expected. Another big plus: they kept my feet warm. I simply paired them with woollen socks and that was enough even in extreme cold. One thing to note: these are not waterproof. That said, unless you’re stepping into water or soaking them, it shouldn’t be a major issue. But if you’re sure your shoes will get wet (snow melting, stream crossings, etc.), it’s better to choose a waterproof option. Also, since the insoles don’t come off, drying takes longer.
