Quality bags & oxygen absorbers
These bags feel thick enough to protect your valuable food storage. I seal the top of these bags with a flat iron used for straightening hair, and it keeps the bag sealed better for longer food storage. The oxygen absorbers work they way they should, and there are 10 to each sealed bag. You will need to use them all within a few minutes, or seal the bag that holds them back up. If you do this, the remaining absorbers won't absorb the ambient air before they're ever added to the bag. One more thing about oxygen absorbers... Don't use them with food that has greater than 10% moisture. Doing so could cause the oxygen absorber to interact with the moisture in the food to cause botulism. Also, don't use oxygen absorbers with salt or sugar, as doing so will cause your storage to go rock hard. Both warnings apply to all oxygen absorbers, not just these.

I have been buying PackFresh USA mylar bags for a while. I always buy the 7mil bags. They are good quality. I like you can buy gusseted and non-gusseted bags and a variety of sizes for different things. Their oxygen absorbers are high quality. Never had a problem with the bags or the OA.

Great quality and American made
Pack Fresh's 7mil per side bags are ideal for food storage. There are some that are thinner, but they seem less than space blanket thickness and great care is needed to keep them from melting in the heat sealing process. These bags are American made and are my first choice for my needs. They will cost you a little more than similar products made elsewhere.
