Downscales all HD to SD. Doesn't correct aspect ratio. *by C***N on May 25, 2025* The unit accepts up to 1080P HDMI input, but downscales all outputs to SD. It worked fine and all controls were functional. I tested it on a current 16:9 HDTV, and an 4:3 80s CRT video monitor. Audio, Color and SD clarity were good. Unfortunately, It does not correct the 16:9 input aspect ratio to 4:3 output for CRT. Any 4:3 CRT will just squish the 16:9 image inward horizontally so everything onscreen is very thin and elongated. I hoped to use this unit as an HD PIP input for my HDTV, but it doesn't pass HD through the RF coax output like an OTA antenna does.
