Instant Translation in your ear!
I've owned the previous M2 translator earbuds and I believe the M3 are a huge improvement. It really depends on what your own preferences are. If you like how Airpods fit in your ears, then the M2 would be more your style. If you like how Beats fit in your ears, then the M3 would be more your style. I like to exercise from time to time when I wear my earbuds, so the form fitting M3's are exactly what I needed. As pure audio earbuds, these sound fantastic. I own over 20 pairs of earbuds. The bass and clarity of these can compete with the best of them. Everyone was able to hear me clearly and vice versa for phone calls. It would have been nice if these had ANC, but again...that's a personal preference. If you like to hear ambient noise for safety reasons, these would be perfect. Maybe it will be an option they will add in the future. Now, let's talk about the translation feature. They were relatively easy to setup, especially if you're used to purchasing the offline translation packages using the proprietary currency called the "fish card". The Timekettle Fish Card is a virtual digital card used to top up your Timekettle account for downloading offline language packages. 5 Fish can redeem a bundle of offline language. I tested these by speaking phrases in Spanish into my phone and then waited for the app to read the phrase back to me in English. At first, I noticed that the first word of every sentence was being cut off. I went into the settings for my earbuds and changed the sensitivity to 30 and the pause time to 2 seconds. That seemed to be the sweet spot (YMMV) to get it to translate the first word of the phrase as well. I also downloaded and tested Spanish to English, Russian to English and Chinese to English. All of them seemed to work flawlessly without needing to access the internet. In summary, I've tried taking Spanish lessons in the past. It takes years to fully learn a new language. These in-ear translators allow you to instantly communicate in multiple languages without years in a classroom. There was a time I wired money to myself in Mexico and when I went to the bank to cash out, I couldn't because I didn't speak the language and nobody was available to translate. That will no longer be an issue thanks to TimeKettle and their wonderful products. I will also follow-up with an unboxing video in the near future.

Do Not Buy Doesn't Work
Here is yet another Product I found interesting and it had a discount on Scamazon plus was supposed to come with a free gift. Lets Start with the fact this Product does not Work!!! I speak some Spanish and Fluent in English so it was easy for me to test this product at least using those 2 Languages. First you will need to have you Phone in your hand and Intrude on the person your talking to by putting the Phone in there Face.??? Yes even with a Build in Microphone this product requires you to use your Phones Microphone not the microphone that is built in the earbuds. It never translated either Spanish -> English or the reverse. I couldn't believe for $150 it uses the Phones Microphone and still COULDNT TRANSLATE correctly. This Item is a complete waste of Money I wouldn't pay $5 for this or any Product made by Timekettle. I tried another one of there Products with the exact same result so I'm sure its just a Low Quality Company charging as if they have a Functional Quality Product which they DON'T. Do NOT BUY from this company there products Do NOT WORK!!

Good quality
The sound quality is nice, I’m learning English so it helps when I’m having a conversation and I don’t understand what the other person is saying. It’s very comfortable, the size is perfect for my ears and it’s easy to Carrie around. it’s easy to control. I recommend!

Can't keep up
Having actually tried this while traveling... it can't keep up for what I wanted it for (listen mode while not connected to the internet so I wouldn't be entirely in the dark when my new in-laws were talking to each other, my bride, and our children). At least not for Chinese -> English. I ran across a number of difficulties: 1) They keep disconnecting every few minutes (and I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, so not exactly a weak phone, and I have no issues with my other Bluetooth devices), and the app bails every time even one of the two earpieces disconnects. As it also translates to the screen, this behavior is stupid, at least when using Listen mode. 2) It can't deal with background noise. 3) It's not registering my in-laws end-of-sentence pause, nor noticing when one relative stops and another beings. This produces a very long delay in my comprehension (via the device) of what's being said. However, it turns out this is a setting, it's just a little hard to find. You may want to get in touch with their support team to adjust it. 4) English takes a little longer than Chinese, and it kept running out of buffer space (at least, I assume that's why it kept spitting out "Tadpole, Tadpole, Tadpole, Tadpole..." after a little while). This too is a hard-to-find setting; again, contact support. So it needs some work. It does function if you find the right settings and you're in a reasonably quiet environment.

Translated quite well, but found it not as useful as hoped.
First, the most affective method of use was to share an earpiece with a stranger. I would keep some wipes on you as I clearly understand not wanting to place the bud from a stranger in an ear of mine. The method that worked best was to have the person hold the earpiece away from their ear a short distance and if the environment is not that loud, it worked well and translations were good in both directions on our trip to Puerto Rico. I have spent a lot of time in Mexico, so seeing a stop sign with PERO on it was confusing, so make sure you download a language pack with the correct dialect and region. ALTO means stop in Mexico, while PERO is the word for dog. This does not hear well, and listening to Telemundo to brush up on my Spanish was useless. I only found this device useful with a live person and as I have a basic understanding of Spanish, hardly used it and found it troublesome when I did, but not useless. When it could hear the person speaking, it translated well. The last issue that I have is that the Bluetooth signal is quite weak. I cannot sit at my computer with it hooked up without static and a loss of signal. My computer is powerful and I run CAD programs, even those in 3D. This is not a cheap machine. It was built in 2022, so it is also fairly new. That being said, it does not seem to have the same issue with my Samsung S22 cell phone, but I have not tried to walk away. This is February 1, 2025. I was able to return it as of yesterday and had I been paying attention I would have. When researching this, I bought this version because of the relative price. I planned to return it and get a higher quality one of the same brand to test it out. Missed my window by a day, so my fault. I have Purity, Beats X, Kurene S8 and other Bluetooth headphones that do not present with this problem so I know that it is not my computer. I listen to music while I design and use headphones to listen to music or podcasts on days when my girlfriend is home. These are good, but not without issues. If you can afford them, I suggest stepping up a version to see if they work better as far as connection and the ability to hear off speakers and not just live. The language pack was solid.

System is awesome
The earbuds are excellent. You do not have to be online to use them. It has a number of languages (for me Spanish to English) is downloaded and always available online or not. What is also nice it picks up language throughout the room as well as speaking directly into your cell phone. You can use voice or type in the phrase you would like to have translated. I have tried other providers; this is the best option I have been able to find. Initial setup was very easy to do no matter your technical competence

Offline mode = not functional. Drops the 1st word of many sentences.
First off, if you are using these for offline translation in areas with no cell service or wi-fi, look elsewhere. The offline mode simply does NOT work. It will capture the audio, but never translates it. Second, as other have reported, there is a delay before the connection picks up initially so it will often drop the first word in the sentence when translating. Forcing you to have to tap the icon that plays the sentence over again. Thirdly, what do these even do? Again, as others have said, the earbuds are just a bluetooth headset. So in a way, you are basically just paying for extremely overpriced earbuds that are locked to an app. There are apps in the Google Play store that function as well as this or better and do not require a dedicated headset. The Timekettle App is what you are really buying and its "ok" at best. Google Translate is FAR superior in nearly every way. I only kept these as a backup and because you get an overpriced bluetooth headset out of the deal. But Google Translate for Online and a cheaper hand-held basic translator device for offline is a far better way to go for most people.

A nice device for those who plan to travel and would like to know whats happening
We've bought this in preparation for an upcoming trip to Japan. The earbuds fit in my ear well. I have tested it with a few movies and anime to get a feel for it. [for clarity, I was sitting on my couch, with the volume at a normal level with the phone on in front of me] They speak a little faster than the device can properly translate, there is a lag, but I get the gist of what is going on so I do not feel like you need to have your phone shoved into a person's face to get a proper audio pick up to translate so that is nice. And if the person speaking knows to speak slowly I do not believe there will be an issue in the real world application The battery seems to be holding up well so far and I like the magnetic charging case that comes included (but I personally would prefer a matte black but thats just aesthetics) The overall program is pretty easy and using the included fish card to buy a few downloadable languages it straight forward and easy enough to cash in and choose your options. (though, seems like they could've just given all 6 languages instead of making me just choose 5, maybe there is a plan to add more in the future so having to pick will become more necessary) All in all, I am looking forward to using this overseas and its making my wife a lot more assured that this trip wont leave us completely isolated from everyone around us.

Translation in your ears
Hi guys, I’ve bought this product that helps us in communication when traveling and especially to translate communication between my family and my partner. We have tried it and is really good. Works perfectly with my language (Slovak) and English. We have also tried my partners language (Portuguese) to Slovak/English and no issues. Battery is good and you can use it even on a daily basis as normal earplugs. The shape is good and my ears doesn’t hurt me, and they have noise cancellation. highly recommend Thanks guys

I gave it a try. Don't bother wasting your money.
Where to begin... Battery doesn't last. 'Fish' their currency doesn't last (I had a whole bunch, it disappeared). The only useful part is if I am speaking with someone who is purely francophone, I can say my phrase in English and have the thing tell me what to say in French. It does not do live translation, unless you wear one earbud in one ear and put the other ear bud in your conversation partner. NOT exactly conducive to business meetings as I had hoped. One and done. Albertan trying to use this in Quebec to conduct business meetings. Epic fail here.

The translation is not accurate
I was really excited to get these translation earbuds based on the reviews that I saw. I really only needed them for translation and although the other features are good, I did not need them for that. The translations speed is quite slow and they struggle to keep up with a normal conversation. I used these for Dominican Spanish. Additionally, the translations were off and 80% of what was translated was gibberish. Considering how expensive these are in comparison to other translation earbuds, I expected a lot more. I will keep these but I would not recommend them due to the high price, slow translation speed and inaccuracy of the translated dialogue.
