Having recently moved my Q Acoustics 2020i's into my surround set up I needed a replacement for my Denon hi-fi. I rate the 2020i's very highly, but have never been impressed with their looks, so I decided to go for the Dali Zensor 1's in a walnut finish.The moment I opened the box I was amazed by the sheer beauty of these speakers. A gorgeous, deep walnut case with quality black grilles hiding the most beautiful drive units I have seen. These may be small but they are good, weighty speakers that feel substantial and solid. For some reason the fact that there is no bi-wiring option also impressed me. I just don't buy into this double cabling malarky, which I've tried before but detected no discernable improvement. So; banana plugs straight into the back and on with a CD. Would the performance of these speakers match up to the looks? First track played was Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Unbelievable!! I genuinely thought that no small speaker could beat the Q Acoustics, but I think the Dali's have the edge. Nothing in it as far as top end goes, but the bass is tighter and better defined. The soundstage these small speakers manage to create is amazing.I have read some reviews that criticise these speakers for lacking bass, but I just don't get that at all. Sure, they're not going to knock out the same kind of rumble as a pair of metre high floor standers, but for the size they are the bass is more than adequate. If space is limited, and you want serious hi-fi sound then look no further, because you won't do better than a pair of Zensor 1's. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Piccole di dimensione, ma sono grandi casse *by P***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 November 2014* E' trascorso quasi 1 anno dall'acquisto.Le casse sono quanto di meglio potevo acquistare di quelle dimensioni e per quel prezzo.Le ho abbinate ad un compatto Denon RCD-N8 Combo di cui sono pienamente soddisfatto.Avevo letto moltissime recensioni per trovare le migliori casse da libreria, e avevo visitato diversi rivenditori per poter ascoltare dal vivo le casse che avrei dovuto acquistare. Fidandomi esclusivamente del mio orecchio anziché dare ascolto ai venditori, non ho scelto nessuna di quelle che avevo provato di persona, non mi davano soddisfazione. Alla fine ho deciso di buttarmi: le recensioni mi avevano convinto, questi "Danesi" della DALI mi piacevano, in Italia erano poco diffuse, un po' di rischio c'era...Sono rimasto veramente sorpreso da queste casse, mi piace il suono quando metto il volume dell'amplificatore su 20 e oltre, sembra che la musica prende vita. Forse sono un po' "dure" ai bassi volumi, ma credo che sia normale tutto sommato.Dalla mia esperienza vanno bene un po' con tutto, la voce ad esempio viene riprodotta benissimo, forse sono meno adatte alla musica rock visto che con casse così piccole i bassi potenti ne risentono per forza.Dimenticavo... per ottenere il meglio le ho collegate con dei cavi speciali, da audiofili, consigliatimi da un negozio che vende solo impianti di vera alta fedeltà. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent sound and build quality *by A***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 November 2020* The speakers were another purchase to add to two I had already, they are very good quality for the money and are finished to a very high standard.
