Have you noticed the locking mechanism failing due to rain?** A: Hi, No chance of it failing due to rain. Unless it gets struck by lightning that is.... To tell the truth, this is as tough as old boots and if you keep giving it a little oil every year or so it will, more than likely, out last you. lol **Q: Does this box prevent data being copied from keyless car fobs that are locked in this box?** A: My guess is that it should do as it is effectively a Faraday cage **Q: how do I unlock if the combination has been changed, and don't remember the new combo.** A: There's no "secret" code to unlock it, unfortunately. There are videos online that purport how you can find the code but I cannot speak for their accuracy having never tried it. If all else fails, pry it off the wall and hammer the bejesus out of it to open the back! Good luck! **Q: Would this fit a Chubb Key size 11cm?** A: The large unit will fit 11cm key Vicky. It had to be returned. This LARGE key safe is EXACTLY as described, large enough for any key/bunch of keys you may wish to leave in a secure place. I can even fit my wallet inside. It took less than 10 minutes to fit and is a very solidly built piece of equipment. Anyone looking for this kind of product, whatever your reasons, look no further, this is the one you want! I was concerned that it may be difficult to change the security code perhaps if it was compromised, or I wanted to use a different code for different people, but it couldn't be easier. A flick of a switch, reset the code, flick the switch back, that's it, done!
