God of War (PS2)

First off, the story line is great for this game but I'm not going to babble on and on about it much... basically you play as Kratos who has been betrayed by the gods and you want revenge by kicking immortal butt. The game is based around Greek mythology, with fast paced action throughout and a healthy dose of brutality and violence. As Kratos, you progress through areas by killing everything in your path and solving a few puzzles. As you progress, you power up your weapons, health and gain special abilities enabling you to deal with more challenging enemies. Visually the game is stunning for its age, with excellent cut scenes, attention to detail and smooth animation. The controls are responsive and well thought out, from frenzied button bashing to calculated sequences, performing a variety of moves to tear the various body parts from your enemy. As you submerge yourself into the game you actually feel a growing attachment to Kratos and this rewards you with a sense of achievement once you have killed a boss or group of tough foes. The game lasts quite some time, which is great as you won't want the experience to end. The balance of difficulty is spot on, starting off simply while training you in the art of battle as you progress. The difficulty setting can be adjusted within the options menu and you can unlock video clips which add to the replay value but the game does not contain a strong replay value. I would suggest not rushing through this game (even though it is tempting as you will be itching to know what happens next), rather sit back, fully explore the environments and immerse yourself in the amazing experience that is God of War. In doing so you will quickly discover that the reply value of this game does not matter one bit! Quite simply, this is an epic experience and a must have for any PS2 collection.

This is a great game especially for its age! It is still a wonderful game to play now in 2019. I found that throughout the game there can be occasional screen freezing and delayed loading times. However, these are tolerable issues overall and relatively minor. I suggest ignoring the gameplay issues because the game is worthwhile in many other aspects. I would highly recommend.

Graphics and sounds are excellent but the gameplay gets dull after a while.

The game came just as is describes, takes you back to the PlayStation 2 days when you unwrap it. The disc was spotless and the manual was slightly crinkled but all good NOTE: The blue case is not an original Sony branded one and is a 3rd party reproduction. This is noticeable as it’s tough to open and close and it uses a different plastic, the Sony licensed label usually on the back of the case is also not present. For any hardcore fans this may seem a downer but can easily be fixed by swapping what seems to be a brand new cover out and into an original case. Won’t be as new and shiny looking as the brand new case of course but will put OCD’s to rest. Amazing game and easily this is the best way to get it

What do I need to say about this game? This is one of the most important games in history. You might have played one of the more recent ones by now, but GOW1 stands out with it's strong story. This game reinvented the action/adventure genre and is a major must-play for anyone into games. 'Nuff said.

It came earlier than I expected. It's a present for my little cousin, so I hope he'll like it. I bought it used but it had "very good" mark on it, I looked for scratches, but nope, not a single one. It looks new to me, and not used.

This game has been one of my favorite title as the story is about one man on his journey to redemption (maybe), disc arrived prompt and in good condition and would recommend this seller.

So I ordered this game for 10£. Its a pretty normal price if u think that the game cane out in 2005. Hopefully they sold it cheap. The quality was really good. The dvd case came untouched not even a scratch and the disc too. Also it contained the guide book? Idk how it's called. Overall pretty good quality for a used game. The one thing that made me put 4 stars is the delivery. It came 15 days later of the delivery date and I thought it was lost but hopefully I have it in my hands and I can enjoy god of war in my ps2. I recommend buying it !!

Il prodotto è arrivato in anticipo, perfettamente impacchettato. Ovviamente il disco funziona benissimo, non c'era nessun segno di righe o di impronte digitali sulla parte posteriore del disco e la parte frontale era a posto. E ovviamente il gioco è spettacolare!

Bellissimo gioco oltre le aspettative consegna celere,ottimo affare, merita tutte e 5 stelle che ho messo. Volevo anche dire che il gioco e completamente in italiano se puo' interessare.
