Silverline Pipe Cutter 3 - 30mm (MS127)

I purchased three different pipe cutters. This one, the mini brake pipe and the Bahco 302-35. I tried to cut some copper pipes with the three one's and compare them.The brake pipe (grade -10 stars). This pipe cutter worths only to make spiral marks arround the pipe. Totally uselessThe Bahco 320-35 (grade 3 stars). Good quality build. Makes a precise cut (tried that on a copper 15mm pipe) but not clean!Silverline (grade 5 stars). Despite its cheap price, I was almost confident it would be as useless as the brake pipe, but to my surprise it's proven to be very good (and considering its price I could give that even 6 stars). Precise and clean cut.Until now the most precise and cleanest cut I have managed to get it from non variable pipe cutters (Forge steel, rothenberger etc) but it's not practical to have a pipe cutter for each pipe diameter. I bought all these in order to send some to my parents and it seems the silverline (at this price by far) to be the best.

Lightweight but did the job fine

This tool is very useful and good value for money. I use this tool in the garage for brake pipes mainly and it does the job. It has held up well and i have owned it for couple months now and good so far.

Excellent price, quality and service

It was with a little trepidation that I purchased this, as some reviewers are less than happy. Unfortunately I became one of those people. This useless piece of kit (I wouldn’t call it a tool) is so poorly made it cut in a spiral rather than a circle, meaning I had to shorted my curtain pole, removing the now damaged section and cutting it by had with a saw. I was literally better off before I started using it. Avoid at all costs. Use a saw, or buy a good quality pole cutter.

Works well

I bought this tube cutter because the price was so reasonable. I am very pleased with it, and it has done the job perfectly.

I ordered this to cut down my handle bars on my mountain bike as hacksaw was no good,any way after opening the cutter I noticed the front wheel was stuck and could not get a straight cut as it kept on slipping,I tried all sorts to free up the wheel to no avail.I then took a leaf out of Jeremy Clarkson's book and hit it with a hammer hey presto it worked.

He comprado esta herramienta para uso particular. Tengo otras herramientas eléctricas pero para mayor comodidad he preferido realizar la compra de esta llave para evitar enchufar alargaderas y el engorro de las máquinas eléctricas. Es la primera vez que uso esta herramienta y es muy cómoda, corte muy recto, no se tuerce, y el corte limpio evita rebabas. No me ha costado cogerle el truco y de 20 cortes, solo uno me ha costado sacarlo recto porque no lo puso recto desde el principio. Seguí las indicaciones, una vuelta para asegurarse de que está recto, y hacia atrás apretando cada vez más. De lujo, con 7/8 vueltas el tubo queda cortado.

Ottimo prodotto con qualità prezzo. Consigliato a chi voglia fare del bricolage o lavorare con attrezzi di buona qualità. Ciao

Mir ging es wie einem anderen Rezensenten hier. Der Kauf war eine Hop oder Top Entscheidung und ich wurde erfreulicherweise nicht entäuscht. Als Primekunde war der Artikel für mich versandkostenfrei und der geringe Preis war mir das Risiko wert. Zum Zeitpunkt meiner Bestellung gab es je drei Fünf- und Einsternebewertungen.Entweder sind die Qualitätsschwankungen bei diesem Artikel sehr hoch oder die Erwartungen der Käufer. Für diesen geringen Preis kann man keinen Profiartikel erwarten, zumal in der Artikelbeschreibung daraufhingewiesen wird, dass der Artikel nur für den Hausgebrauch ist.Ich habe damit den Alulenker eines MTB eingekürzt und dies ging einwandfrei. Die Schnitte waren sauber und nach dem Entgraten mit dem Werkzeug war nur ein wenig Nachfeilen erforderlich. Kein Versatz des Werkzeuges beim Schnitt. Letztendlich war ich für den Preis des Artikels sehr positiv überrascht, daher 5 Sterne.

Non ho esperienza con questo genere di attrezzo, so che altri tagliano compiendo un numero inferiore di giri. Mi serviva per accorciare la forcella della bicicletta. Alla fine ha svolto egregiamente il suo lavoro. Taglio preciso, ho solo dovuto sbavare un po' per eliminare alcune imperfezioni, ma era atteso.
