Bought to replace a broken scissor spring on my kife. Quick and easy to replace. Does the job.

I bought this for a relative as he had lost the spring that was fitted to his 91 mm knife. Several years ago I had a spring break on a similar knife to his that I’ve had for decades and I remembered how inconvenient it was as it was often used. The spring is quite a firm fit and pliers were used to aid assembly. Now the knife is back to one hundred per cent and the spring is still firmly attached and works as well as the original one after several weeks of use. We are very pleased with the results.

Strong spring at a great price

Old spring had been off centre a while and broke. With scissors flat pulled up the end away from the coil to twist it out. Started the new one by placing the coil in the hole and twisting in until it caught and then pliers and done in 10 eeconds. Great to have scissors again.

I ordered two and they both came individually packaged in bags 100 times their size. But, they both fit, and they do the job well. I used one for the scissors and the other one for the pliers. Perfect. Maybe they are a bit on the expensive side for a piece of bent metal. But I guess there's just not that much demand for these things.
