Does Colour Restore Cool Ash work better if you use a clarifying shampoo first?

Using a clarifier before an application of Cool Ash, unless applied straight after bleaching is a good idea. Many shampoos contain polymers which coat the hair blocking the pigments from depositing. A clarifying shampoo will remove the build-up.

Can I use Colour Restore Iced Platinum immediately after bleaching my hair?

Yes, for best results after bleaching, always firstly use a good shampoo to remove all the bleach formula from the hair, giving two washes. Then towel dry the hair and apply Cool Ash and leave for up to 20 minutes to develop.

Can I use on highlights, balayage or ombre?

Cool Ash is a great product to use on lightened colour effects and particularly balayage, as balayage tends to have a rusty or raw edge if it is not toned regularly. Therefore, Cool Ash is particularly good for keeping balayage effects refined.

My hair has a blue hue after using

If you feel your hair looks blue after using one treatment of Cool Ash, this will be because you have a white or light blonde base with no orange tone present. You may have yellow to orange and in fact should have used Colour Restore Iced Platinum.
