**Q: what is the diffrence between the red cap and the black cap as i was told to get the blacke= capped one and i wanted to know why**
A: In the last 25 years I have seen and bought only the red cap product. I didn't know a black cap version existed. The red capped product has always provided excellent slide lubrication on my very old Bb Conn 18H (jazz) and my Jupiter 636 large bore Bb/F (band/orchestral).

I have used this product before and it is one of the best I have used. It's ideal for the modern trombone slides,but I only have an old trombone now and it is not as good for it. That is not any fault of the lubricant,it's the slides on the old trombone are not good enough. I do recommend it thought.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handy for trumpets as well as trombones

I recently acquired a vintage trumpet and found the third valve tuning was quite stiff. I'd managed to almost free it but it still had too much resistance for smooth playing and valve oil or slide grease didn't completely solve it. I happened to see a video on the internet which recommended this product and it worked, the slide moves easily enough now. I definitely recommend it for use on trumpet 3rd valve slides.
