Good quality at good price. Recommended!!!
I was tired of constantly buying and throwing away disposable batteries for my kids' toys, TV remotes, and wireless mouse. I decided to make the switch to rechargeable batteries, and these Amazon Basics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries have been an absolute game-changer. The moment they arrived, I was impressed. The fact that they are "pre-charged" meant I could use them right out of the box. I popped two into my son's battery-guzzling toy, and it's been running strong for days. This convenience is a huge plus, as I didn't have to wait for them to charge before putting them to use. The "high-capacity" claim is totally legit. They hold their charge incredibly well, and I've found that they last significantly longer in my devices than the standard disposable batteries I used to buy. The value of this 8-pack is fantastic. I have enough to power a few devices at once and a set of spares charging, so I'm never left without power when I need it most. I also appreciate the peace of mind that comes with using rechargeable batteries. I'm saving money in the long run and, more importantly, I'm reducing waste. This pack is a win-win for my wallet and the environment. The "appearance may vary" note on the product page is not an issue at all—the batteries inside are the same great quality. If you're looking for a reliable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly power solution for all your household gadgets, look no further. These Amazon Basics rechargeables are a fantastic investment that will save you time, money, and hassle. I highly recommend them to anyone who is still relying on single-use batteries.

Reliable Rechargeables That Keep Going Strong
Picked up this 12 pack about a year and a half ago, and they’ve been great for all sorts of little gadgets around the house like my digital scales, a kitchen timer, and remote controls. AAA batteries aren’t the ones I use the most, but when I do need them it’s nice knowing I’ve always got charged ones ready. They’ve been really reliable so far. Not a single dud, and I haven’t noticed any drop in how long they last after plenty of recharges. They work perfectly with my quick charger and top up quickly. For the price, they’re great value and feel solidly made. Having twelve in the pack makes life easy. I can rotate them around, recharge at my own pace, and never worry about running out mid use. It’s also nice not having to keep throwing away old batteries all the time.

Reliable, Long‑Lasting & Great Value — Perfect Rechargeable AAA Batteries
These Amazon Basics rechargeable AAA batteries are excellent quality and easily compete with the big brands. The 850 mAh high‑capacity rating gives them strong, consistent performance, especially in devices that drain power quickly — things like remotes, wireless mice, kids’ toys, LED lights and small gadgets. They arrive pre‑charged and ready to use, which is always a bonus. The charge retention is impressive too; they hold power well when stored and don’t self‑discharge as quickly as older NiMH batteries. After several recharge cycles, they still perform like new. The build quality feels solid, and the 24‑pack offers fantastic value for anyone who uses AAA batteries regularly. Pairing them with a decent charger makes them far more economical and environmentally friendly than disposable batteries. If you want dependable, long‑lasting and cost‑effective rechargeable AAA batteries, this Amazon Basics pack is a brilliant choice — powerful, consistent and excellent value.

Must have item in the everything drawer
Good batteries, they charged with no issues in my battery charger that detected no faults. They are very versatile as they've been used on a variety of items, mostly kids toys but also TV remotes controls, remote control cars, and general gadgets. They are very easy to use, we got them charged them and placed them in the devices. Battery life is good though obviously varies on device but they're reliable. A great replacement for one use batteries and we've had no issues so far and they've had no leaks or swelling or any issues in the months using them so seem safe.

Excellent value and capacity
Please see my photos for this review, they are relevant.... First the spec of the battery.... Capacity: 850mAh (milliamp-hour), minimum 800mAh Using these, after discharging and refreshing their charge a number of times, I have found their fullest capacity ranges from around 820mAh to 890mAh, all of them being above the minimum of the 800mAh noted in their specs. What I have also found is they do seem favourable when placed in a case and not used immediately, in terms of retaining that capacity. They have fitted well, not being overly wide or long etc compared to std AAA batteries. They have fitted in every device I have tried, including those that are very tight sleeved ones where the battery dimensions matter. Some other types of rechargeable batteries can have sizing issues, not these. I do make sure that I charge them on a low current of 200mAh, good for extended use, in terms of longevity. Over the long time I have used these they have never corroded or leaked. Some things of consideration that the user needs to be aware of... Rechargeable batteries are rated at 1.2v. Alkaline are typically 1.5v. You just might have a rare device that does not like the lower voltages, so far we have had just one child's toy that did not like them. Otherwise, no other issues with devices not working. These batteries seem fine for devices placed outside, where it is cold at the time of this review. Batteries deplete faster in the cold, and these, in that respect, are no worse than any other type. It would be difficult to find fault in our use of these batteries, apart from the packaging seeming to be excessive for the number that are contained, a little wasteful. It is cardboard and we recycled it. I also keep a notepad as to where the batteries are used, otherwise I forget where I have put them..! The absolute value that these offer is difficult to ignore. Their capacity, longevity and comparable size to the Alkaline type, has meant reliable use when we have needed them. Apart from the potential of having a device that will not function with rechargeable types, these batteries are very much recommended. I do hope this review has been helpful.

Mostly impressive for budget cells
Amazon Basics AAA Rechargeable Batteries (850 mAh, NiMH) — Tested Capacity, Performance & Matching Results I tested a full 12-pack of these AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries after a couple months of normal use in kids toys and various gadgets using a charge/discharge/charge analysis cycle, and the results were consistently strong, well above the rated capacity, with only one weaker outlier. Test Setup * ISDT N8 Series smart battery charger * Full analysis cycle (charge → discharge → recharge) * 0.3A charge/discharge rate * 0.90V cutoff voltage * Temperature range: 28°C – 33°C Measured Results * Average Capacity: 1,079 mAh * Highest: 1,171 mAh * Lowest: 964 mAh All cells exceeded the rated 850 mAh capacity, with most landing comfortably above 1,100 mAh, which is excellent performance for AAA NiMH batteries in this price range. Internal Resistance & Performance * Average: 193 mΩ * Most cells: 180–200 mΩ * One outlier: higher resistance, lowest capacity Lower internal resistance helps with performance meaning less voltage sag in high-drain devices like controllers, camera accessories, and other electronics. Cell Matching Results: After testing, I grouped the batteries by performance: * Top tier (7 cells): high capacity, closely matched * Mid tier (4 cells): slightly lower capacity but still good * 1 outlier: lower capacity and higher resistance This is typical for budget rechargeable batteries but still allows for multiple well-matched sets. What Stands Out * Consistently exceeds rated capacity * Good overall cell matching * Only one weak cell in the pack * Works well for both high-drain and everyday devices Final Thoughts These Amazon Basics AAA rechargeable batteries are a solid high-capacity option at a very reasonable price. With basic matching and rotation, they can deliver performance close to more expensive brands. The cons to this being that this is effort you generally don’t have to expend with more expensive premium Japanese made cells. However, if the cost savings are worth it to you these are a great value for the money and outperform a lot of the other Chinese-made budget cells. Some of whom wildly overstate their actual capacity. Rating: 4.5 / 5 (Can’t give half a star Amazon rating. Hence the five star rating) Please note: All NiMH rechargeable batteries have a break-in period when new. This is usually 3-5 full charge/discharge cycles (premium low self discharge Japanese-made cells generally only need one or two cycles). A good smart charger with a “refresh” or “activation” function can do this for you (it can take several hours) or it will naturally happen over time as you use them. This just means that capacity will increase after break-in so rechargeable batteries aren’t necessarily defective if they don’t meet their rated capacity straight out of the package. Why grouping similar performing batteries, if possible, makes a difference in real-world performance. When using rechargeable batteries in devices that use multiple batteries like controllers the load is shared by both batteries. Pairing a strong cell with a higher capacity and lower resistance with a weaker lower capacity higher resistance cell means the weaker cell is going to deplete and drop voltage faster. The stronger cell ends up shouldering more of the workload. This all means you get less time between recharges. None of this, of course, is strictly necessary, but if possible analyzing and grouping together similar performing batteries will increase their lifespans and give you more usage time between recharges. Once again not strictly necessary but something to note.
