Good product...
My old La Crosse atomic clock (model WS-8418U-IT-INT) and transmitter (model TX37U-IT) died on me. So when I searched for a replacement, I discovered they were both discontinued. I had owned them for 8 years and they were great. In my search for a replacement, I came up with this product which is very similar. It has a few differences, none of which were a problem for me (temperature variations over time versus current moon phase, slightly larger size of time display). I set up the transmitter (sensor) first as the instructions always say to do, then installed the batteries in the clock itself. The two connected in 3-5 seconds, unlike the old one which often took a couple tries, and 15 minutes of time waiting. And once I put batteries in the atomic clock portion, it connected with the magical time satellite in the sky (whatever ...) in only 2 or 3 minutes, and BOOM, I'm in business. A great setup experience ! I suggest that you use use lithium batteries regardless of what the manual says (it says alkaline batteries). The reasons: 1). Lifespan -- lithium batteries generally last longer overall, meaning fewer battery changes; 2), If the outdoor sensor has alkaline batteries, over time it can suffer temperature extremes, shortening its lifespan. My alkaline batteries in the outdoor sensor were lasting about a year, in a temperate climate area. Lithium is longer-lived in those conditions compared to alkaline. 3). Corrosion from battery leakage-- lithium batteries don't leak. I had to clean up my old clock's battery case area when I discovered my old alkaline batteries had leaked and corroded its interior, stopping the clock. This would probably happen in the outdoor sensor also. So, overall, I am very pleased. I assume new clock will have a long lifespan, considering my experience with its predecessor. I recommend this product, based on my experience with the old version of the product and the easy setup of this new version.

Accurate time, weather, Temperature inside and out.
I really like my 512-85937-INT. It looks so smart and gives reliably accurate information for time, temp in & out, date and weather trends. It's remarkable what it can do. The only thing that maybe is a negative what angle you might mount it. Being a LCD, if you view at an angle it might not read correct. Where I have it I'm going to create a mount that angles it properly for easy and correct reading. There is also just one thing everyone who buys this should note, give it a couple of days to connect WWVB. Mine didn't connect on the first night but did the second. I'm 900 miles from Fort Collins. But all is happy now.

Great clock, easy setup, long battery life
Extremely easy setup, only takes 2 or 3 minutes. Great range on the transmitter, I have mine hanging about 30 yards away. The clock itself looks very nice, mine is mounted above the medicine cabinet and I have a second one in the bedroom. (They both use the same transmitter.) Very long battery life, well over a year, perhaps 2 or more.

Looks great, and it works
I only docked it a star because the needless "weather forecast" icon in the middle is both pointless and, unfortunately, not accurate. Mine shows clouds & rain on a sunny day all the time. For all I know that is a weather service problem and not the clock's, who knows, but how many of us need to look over at our wall clock to see what the weather is like? That space could have been used to slightly enlarge the other data such as the date. And it is just annoying seeing "wrong" weather icons on it all the time. Okay that was a lot to say that sounds bad about this clock BUT it really is an EXCELLENT looking clock. It works. Big numbers easy to see from across the room. Classy metallic silvery look even though it is plastic. So yeah I recommend it, for a clock. But not a weather predicting device. Good value for the money though.

Accurate, Visible Readouts, Reliable
A few months ago I purchased a second Atomic Wall Clock, the original was for my primary home and the second for my cottage. The original purchase was made over two years ago, and has worked perfectly. As far as accuracy, it’s about as accurate as any clock available — it uses the atomic clock satellites. I’ve never had to change the settings, and as soon as I put the batteries in the clock set itself to the exact time. The digital readouts are highly visible and the temperatures are equally visible and accurate. I use it primarily in the kitchen, so I can time my cooking and to keep me on time for dinner parties. It sits above the stove/oven, so is exposed to various temperatures and has not failed me yet. Value for the money, it’s what I was hoping for.

Works very well.
No backlight option was available, but that would drain the battery a lot faster. An optional button that would offer illumination for 10 seconds or so would be nice. The batteries that I use last a long time. The ones I have in are going on 6 months in both the outdoor sensor and the inside unit. Another nice feature would be to show humidity levels and/or to note daily high's and lows of temperature and/or Humidity. However, the weather forecast icon based on barometric levels is a great feature. However, at the price point this was at, it is a solid value and it performs very well. I really like that it shows the day as (i.e. SUN) with numerical month/date instead of all numbers. That was a huge selling point for me. Other units would show 11/3/2024. Great, But what day is it? Hey, when you're retired days and dates can blend in rather easily. But even working full time for years, sometimes you'll find yourself asking what DAY it is when you ask the date and someone says "the 3rd" and you'll have to ask: Great, Now, what DAY is it? I'd recommend this unit. If you buy one, it can take longer than you expected for the station to find the Atomic Clock signal. At least it did for mine in my location, but it did and the auto-set for time zones is an added plus.

Great Gift!
Purchased this for my mother for Xmas and she truly loves it. She keeps it in her bathroom and the thermometer sits just outside of the window. I thought she might use it in her bedroom, so I purposely did not buy the backlit version thinking the light might keep her up at night, so just be mindful of placement before you make a choice. We're happy with the non-backlit version, but on sunny days with a glare, it can be a little hard to read.
