You can't really go wrong with this little gem.. *by P***S on 14 February 2014* I studied loads of reviews on Amazon and eventually opted for the Droid. Based mostly on good reviews and battery life. I am delighted with performance and quality for such little money.Although slightly bigger than some mini speakers. (At the bottom it is about the same diameter as a tin of tuna, but tapers up nicely to about 7cm diameter to the top of the shiney case, then the speaker 'mesh' tapers even more. It stands about 6.5cm high). So it is still very portable and is not too heavy. It is solidly built and does not rattle/buzz or move about even playing heavy metal at maximum volume.As for the sound, it is quite remarkable for such a small unit. Clarity is superb across the range, even at full volume. The bass performance is very good, no it doesn't rattle your windows but a 5w output speaker never would. The bass is punchy and quite remarkable especially as it handles the mid and higher frequencies so very well. Yes it is easily loud enough to fill a largeish room with enough sound so people can't hear what you are talking about without asking you to turn it down! I also tried it outside on the decking and it is plenty loud enough to anoy the neighbours. It does sound much better and louder placed on a solid raised surface such as a table, cabinet or mantle piece.Bluetooth conectivity is good and pairs immediatley with my ipad and works anywhere in the house and outside.Battery life seems remarkable as I have had the speaker for nearly two weeks and I have used most days for an hour or so on lowish volume and it is still on its initial charge.The only features that would be handy, although you have a pause and play button and volume control on the unit. There are no 'skip track / back track' buttons on the unit. Not the end of the world but would have been a nice feature especially as the Droid is bluetoth IV and probably could have catered for this.Well done Azatom. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No better bang for your buck *by T***A on 19 March 2014* We need to be clear, this is not a speaker for audiophiles, it's the size of a child's fist and if you know anything about acoustics you'd know that for audio purity you'd need a much larger device like a B&W Zepplin costing £££'S, try dropping one of those in your laptop bag. So let me list the main points with this speaker.Bad points:- You can't connect a pair for stereo sound- If you use public transport those unruly youths with their tinny mobile phone speakers are about to get a lot louder!Good points:- Power, it has it in buckets, after reading reviews stating the power it still managed to surprise me.- Ease of use, Bluetooth or cable simple quick efficient.- Power adapter, micro USB, who hasn't got at least 3 of these adapters lying around now that they are the cell phone standard. Internal battery really does last 10 hours, quite remarkable.- Aesthetics, good looking design even comes with microfiber cloth to keep the black shiny, thoughtful.- Size, very compact and portable.- Audio quality, struggles at full volume with some feeds mainly in the high frequency band but like I said it is loud so turning it down to 90%-95% (still loud) keeps the speaker within it's limits which is why I am not classifying this a negative just something to be aware of, I have only found this to be an issue on a couple of tracks with very pitched female vocals everything else plays fine at 100% volume.- Build quality, looks solid, feels solid.- PRICE!!!!! After listening to this device you will do the same as me, double check the invoice, I have heard MANY top brand speakers at 4 times this price (£100-£120) in the portable market that produce quality on par with this speaker but nothing under £70 comes even remotely close. Unclear volume. *by J***K on 24 June 2018* I had Azatom speakers before and was knocked out with them as they were worth 3 times the price.So bought the droid partly because I thought it was 10 watts output.It isn't.The volume in this listing is all over the place,totally unclear.One says its 3 watts,another place it says 10 watts,another 8 watts,another 5 watts.And there is a bloody big difference between 3 watts and 10 watts.This speaker is tragically NOT 10 watts,in my opinion NOT 8 watts but about 5 watts.It's loud,full volume but you are not gonna truly rock with it as I like my music LOUD.BUT it looks much more compact and stylish in the flesh than it does in the pictures.It feels extremely well built and very solid.THE SOUND.? FANTASTIC.
