**Q: Is this lens compatible with body Nikon D5200?**
A: You can use this lens on D5200, but I would not recommend it since on an APS-C body, the lens becomes 36-105 equivalent losing all the wide angle portion. Plus it is big, heavy and expansive lense. I would recommend Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED (roughly 24-70 equivalent), which designed for APS-c body. That being said, if you have the plan to migrate to full-frame body. You can buy this lens, but I still recommend something else: Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Nikon F, with half the price, you get pretty much same image quality. I hope this is helpful.

A: The Nikon 24-70 2.8 ED VR is super sharp and fantastic. The new VR version is superior and worth the additional $ in my opinion. I highly. Recommend it.

A: The VR version (vibration reduction) allows the photographer to shoot more pictures in a hand held mode rather than a tripod. Especially good for sports and wildlife photography.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic lens and a great improvement from the predecessor

I've owned two copies of the predecessor and they were okay, a bit erratic AF sometimes but they did the job and my clients were happy. But I find this lens far superior, beautiful colour rendering, edge to edge sharpness, a very accurate and extremely fast AF, pin sharp images from 24-70mm on all apertures, I've required an AF fine adjustment on my D800 of +6 to get these results. It is not cheap but I completely feel that all the improvements are worth the price. I am a professional photographer and want to offer my clients the best image quality available and this lens definitely hits the spot.
