My knowledge is however, that there are manufacturers who do make custom strings for E-A guitars, I just don't know of anyone using them. **Q: being using polywebs for years, and they last forever!, are these as good as promised? are the plain strings treated as well?** A: HI mateI haven't used polywebs, they ' re supposed to be warmer sounded than these. I use elixir mostly on my practice /rehearsal guitar where tone is not the first priority and they do seem to last. Because picture says 10-46** A: I use Elixir 9/42 and 10/46 electric guitar strings for their bright, long-lasting tone, on my 6 string guitars..
