Dragon Professional Individual 15 (PC)

Good for clear well pronounced dictation by a single user, but no use for multi person conversation. As such numerous similar products for less than the cost of this. If you are doing huge volumes of personal dictation and not a great typist or prefer not to type then this is probably a ideal for you and has a lot of options for personalising thendictation.

Very good not yet tested how to add on to exsisting text but will let you know

I either give this 5 or none. When i first loaded it worked and it blew me away. I had tried Dragon some years ago but it had many mistakes. Now with help of AI it was sooo good. I loved it, The affair was short lived as it would not work after a couple of days. I wasted many many long hours trying to make it work. Then i wrote to Nuance who responded quickly to say "Unfortunately Dragon is not compatible with any Office 365 version" and "unfortunately we do not think Dragon will be supported by Office 365 in the future, the reason why is Dragon need the files installed in the computer in order to work properly". I do not understand the technical issues involved but it is so disappointing as Dragon is so superior to any other speech recognition product i have tried - the new Windows speech recognition is very poor in comparison to Nuance. If it is compatible with your Microsoft product then i thoroughly recommend it - although Nuance was stupidly naughty and downloaded extra interfering software. They have a great product so i do not understand why they are silly enough to sully their reputation by surreptitiously loading unwanted programmes..

I had to reinstall the product as I had to rebuild my computer. Now it does not recognise the microphone and I have tried several microphones. You can get no customer suipoort as it is nonexistant and probably housed in cyberspace.

I'm delighted with my purchase. When I read an academic book I underline in pencil important lines or whatever. Now instead of transcribing all those notes into my computer or having to flick through all the pages of the book to find the info I want, I read out the lines and page numbers and I have the document I want. An immense time-saver. I wish I'd had this software years ago! PS I don't think I'd bother with the microphone headset. Before the headset arrived, I just read into my computer. It's probably true that the audio quality of our computers has increased over time: it's absolutely fine for Skype conversations or whatever. Since receiving the microphone headset, I haven't noticed any difference between using the headset and simply reading out loud in front of my computer.

so disappointed the programme will not load from the disc saying to takes 60 - 90 minutes from disc and advised you to copy in onto your hard drive and then will not copy properly and will not load.finally got it working by download it from Nuance website

I am a long-time user of Dragon but the last couple of additions had problems with Windows 10?So I purchased this addition hoping it would be better. Well what can I say just finished installing itit works brilliant I am dictating this from my new software so far it is 100 times more powerful and more preciseplan any other volume of this software so would I buy it for someone else yes would I recommend it to anyone else yesNo training required about 10 minutes set up that it I could go on and on about this new version but there is no needI rely on DragonDictate because I am 100% dyslexic and I use this in conjunction with read and write gold.I do realise it is expensive but it is worth every penny so save your pennies up and look to the future.
