Coolaroo Elevated Pet Bed Medium Nutmeg

I got it for our 10 month old Newfie as he is finding the warm weather rather rough at the minute. He took to the bed instantly and lay there for a few hours. Checking in on him, I put my hand underneath him and true to the other reviews, his tummy was nice and cool with the air circulation. The bed was easy enough to put together, a little bit of brute strength was needed to get the last leg on the bar as the material gets quite tight (it explains this in the instructions, so it's normal). The material seems quite strong but I can't imagine it would take an awful lot of pawing to tear it. The bed is also really light in weight, so I was a little dubious of whether it would actually hold our monster or not. When I was putting it together I noticed that the manual said 'for large and extra large beds'. Upon researching, after I put the bed up, I found the extra large bed on another site for just a little bit more money. What the description doesn't tell you is that the large bed only suits dogs up to 40KG, whereas the extra large suits to 70KG. At the minute, Riley is 54KG and the bed seems to hold his weight well but we'll definitely be upgrading to the larger bed to give him a more comfortable rest. Just to support the photo, our Newf is quite lean so he's not filling out the bed because he's over weight..it's just a small bed.

My Dane was suffering in the hot weather. He sweat so much the floor under his old bed was damp and smelly it was awful! I'd looked at raised beds before but wasn't sure if they'd be large enough for him (he's a big boy and likes to stretch). anyway, the situation was desperate so I hit the bet and discovered this bed on sale and took the chance that he would fit. I am so glad I did! There is ample room for him to lie and wriggle in and out of his various contortions and there have been occasions when the two terriers climb on there too with no discomfort. He is cool and so comfy, it's hard to get him off there. Easy to assemble, unobtrusive and reduces 'dog pong' when they've been laying down for a while! Worth every penny, I can't recommend it enough!

Purchased mainly to use for training a puppy to settle, but is perfect for using outdoors in warmer weather. The 'Medium' size has approx. 90cm x 64cm area for the dog to lie down on, and is 20cm off the the ground. Including the legs of the frame, the overall length is closer to 110cm. Great for one larger dog or two smaller dogs that don't mind sharing - the weight limit is stated 30kg although it seems very sturdy so far and is strong enough to support a small vizsla and pup together - for now! The fabric is hardwearing and breathable but scratchy, so would advise blanket or vet bedding for comfort. Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult/nearly impossible to assemble. Not sure if ours was slightly misaligned, but it took a lot of brute force as there has to be significant tension on the fabric. After multiple frustrating failed attempts, it embarrassingly took an HOUR to finally put together. However, the main thing is that the dogs love it. Despite the fact it was so challenging to put together, would still repurchase another but you absolutely need two people to do this unless you have super strength.

I ordered this bed despite a few other reviews saying how difficult it was to put together and I'm so glad I did. It wasn't difficult to do, the only thing is once you do get the first bars in you do need someone to hold that section whilst you do the other side. But other wise it's simple. I have 3 large dogs a greyhound a german shepherd and a large lurcher. I was concerned that it might be too small when I first saw it but it is plenty big enough when they are on it but I would recommend that you put on some kind of blanket for the dogs too lay on as I found the material a little rough. The material is sturdy and looks quite strong and it didn't sag too much when the dogs got and I have large dogs. I did forsee it being difficult to actually get my german shepherd on it in the first place and got some treats ready to entice him on. I need not have worried he jumped straight on and loves it. I have had several beds and quilts that have been on the floor and was forever picking them up and I wish I'd got one of these before. The problem I've got now is they are actually fighting to use it and my old greyhound usually wins we can't get him off it. I would recommend this product this product to anyone who wants a bed that gets their dogs off the floor but as I've got three dogs it would prove a little difficult to get three as they do take up a little room. But for anyone thinking about it get one. I would also use this supplier again as delivery was prompt and the product is very good value for money.

Really good bed. I didn't find it difficult to put together; thought I might after reading reviews but if you use a bit of common sense and muscle, it is easy enough. Dogs love it although initially they lay beside it on the lawn! Couldn't believe it was for them! It's great as I don't have to cover or remove it if it rains as it is raised from the floor. Dries quickly too. Great product and well worth the money. Big enough for 2 medium sized dogs.

I bought this for my choc lab Scout for 2 reasons. 1.Scout is allergic to dust mites and storage mites and so can't have a usual soft filled bed to lie on, so I bought the coolaroo bed to go with a special perma fresh vet bed that kills dustmites I bought and both work perfectly together for the purpose of helping reduce his allergic reactions, and 2. I bought this bed because Scout can take the heat very well and the coolaroo bed I perfect for air ventilation even with his vet bed on it. This bed is easy to assemble and as soon as I put it together Scout was on it, he loves it with or without his vet bed and it's very comfy for him and easy to clean, well worth the money.

I was looking to replace my old Coolaroo bed as they are great, however item arrived today missing 2 end pieces and all the fixings. Very disappointed so have returned it
