Review: Invaluable. - I got this for laptop repairs which I do often but always struggle with misplacing small screws. I had previously used post it notes to label screws from a repair project but they would always end up rolling around and I'd lose track of where they came from. Thanks to this new magnetic project mat that is no longer a problem for me. The magnet is not as strong as a magnetic parts dish but it is strong enough to hold all the screws commonly found in desktop computers and Laptops. The larger threaded screws are best placed heads down so they yield to the magnet more strongly, I was able to turn it 90 degrees and completely upside down without the screws falling off. The best thing about the project mat is that it's laminated so you can write on it as much as you want then just wipe clean when done, Just make sure you use dry-wipe markers only. Even though the price is a little hefty for what it is I think it's worth it especially if you frequently work on electronics and hardware repair. -Highly recommended

I got this for laptop repairs which I do often but always struggle with misplacing small screws. I had previously used post it notes to label screws from a repair project but they would always end up rolling around and I'd lose track of where they came from. Thanks to this new magnetic project mat that is no longer a problem for me. The magnet is not as strong as a magnetic parts dish but it is strong enough to hold all the screws commonly found in desktop computers and Laptops. The larger threaded screws are best placed heads down so they yield to the magnet more strongly, I was able to turn it 90 degrees and completely upside down without the screws falling off. The best thing about the project mat is that it's laminated so you can write on it as much as you want then just wipe clean when done, Just make sure you use dry-wipe markers only. Even though the price is a little hefty for what it is I think it's worth it especially if you frequently work on electronics and hardware repair. -Highly recommended

This is a fantastic product that is paired perfectly with ifixit's pro tech tool kit. This is great for labeling screws and other small parts that might lost or missed out during the reassembly of a phone, laptop or anything else for that matter! The only thing that I might say is that it could be a little more magnetic but it's plenty strong enough to stop screws and other odds and ends from falling on the floor.
