Based on his drawing from the Codex Atlanticus, Da Vinci's trebuchet was a design likely made for the Duke of Milan in about 1482, to impress the Duke of his skills as a military engineer. While it is not known if it was ever used in battle, you can bring Leonardo's trebuchet to life with this working model! This wooden kit is easy to make in about an hour or two. Easy enough for an incompetent older guy (me) to put together.Not the most accurate in use, but I suppose that goes with the design.We’re going to use it as a game in a small festival and it nicely matches the Leonardo catapult from the same makers.Should be a fun time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great fun, and fires a long way *by M***N on 13 October 2018* I bought this for my son and I, and because it is by far the superior siege engine. I put it together, as it's fairly tricky, but took the precaution of drilling through some of the joins and putting cross-dowels through the joins, giving it extra strength. We gave it a go in the summer, and it fired the little clay balls 7-8m, which is way further than they say on the package, but then I did put quite a bit of metal in the basket.
