Book was damaged
The content of the book was great! However, the book’s spine was torn and damaged in several places like someone tried to fold it in half. Disappointed in the condition it was received, especially after reading I’m not the first.

Good for making the kids think
This is likely more appropriate for high school level and is a great supplement to an earth and space science classroom. I found the worksheets inside to use a variety of graphs and diagrams and apply to all the class topics. It is a helpful resource.

Is the Biozone Earth & Space Science review book helpful in New York State ?
I must admit that the book is very well written and the pictures are very colorful and informative. This book might be useful for most states because it does follow NEXT GENERATION SCIENCE STANDARDS which are national standards, unfortunately, New York State, has its own version of NGSS. If Biozone were to write an edition especially for New York State, that would be grand.

College level material...
30% of the material in this book is very difficult and beyond the capabilities for an accelerated 8th grader or average 9th and 10th grade student. I have been picking and choosing material that my students are capable of and using the book as both a review for the new Earth and Space Science Regents and to teach new material that I am assuming might be on the new NYS exam. The charts and questions are good to use to prepare them for the higher level of thinking. I don't like the graphs because they are too small and hard to plot.
