Winsor & Newton WN Acrylic White Gesso, ACFAWG237, 225 ml (Pack of 1), 3040920

I use a number of different primers, depending on what kind of painting I am doing. But I wanted a basic acrylic gesso for some simple acrylic paintings and took a gamble that this would be decent. And that gamble paid off. It's a reasonably thick gesso, but still liquid enough that no additives are needed, and it goes a very long way. I added some marble dust to some of the surfaces, and I find that cheap gesso tends to clump in that situation. Whereas this handled the marble dust no problem. Definitely a high quality primer this, I may even use this for my oils- though I usually use a much heavier base.

When I worked in a studio years ago, you only had tubes of Gesso or powder which you mixed up. These pots are ideal, came well wrapped and protected. I have been using them for the basis of my wood modelling paint work… too easy these days!

I was advised to try this brand as a base for oil paintings and it does a very good job. Dries quickly and has a good bite to it. Would recommend!

Fine - I used it on a cheap canvas, it did smooth the rough surface but it also seems to absorb the oil paint.

Gute Deckkraft, hält auf verschiedenen Medien (Leinwand, Modelliermasse,…), ist mit etwas Wasser gemischt recht ergiebig und qualitativ hochwertig und auch die Preis-Leistung finde ich angemessen. 5/5 gerne wieder!

Un producto imprescindible a la hora de fabricarte o retocar soportes de pintura, tanto al óleo como acrílico, se aploca con facilidad, nivela muy bien si va un poco diluido y se limpia todo con agua, deja un blanco muy bonito y crea una base para la obra muy fuerte y sencilla de cubrir, muy recomendable

Mycket lättarbetad och smidig vilket gör att det går snabbt att stryka ut på större ytor. Den är även väldigt dryg och räcker därför länge.
