## Description

STEVEN WILSON'S STUNNING 'GET ALL YOU DESERVE' - NOW A 3 DISC COLLECTION "an immersive, ambitious project that demands repeated spins" MOJO "Prog rock wrung dry of nostalgia, perfect not for drowning but immersion." - ROLLING STONE Steven Wilson, four-time Grammy nominee, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and founder member of Porcupine Tree, released 'Get All You Deserve' in 2012, directed by long-time visual collaborator Lasse Hoile, the concert film was shot in Mexico City during the 'Grace For Drowning' Tour. This 3-disc release captures the spectacular live experience that Wilson and Hoile created for the tour and a bonus short film on Blu-Ray, and the concert audio is also included on two CDs. It will be released just one month after his highly anticipated fifth solo album 'To the Bone'. 'Grace For Drowning' was Wilson's second solo album, following 2009's exceptionally well-received 'Insurgentes', saw tremendous support from the press who have remained loyal to him ever since. The album tour was his first ever solo tour, and for it he assembled a virtuoso band featuring Marco Minnemann (drums), Nick Beggs (bass), Theo Travis (flute and sax), Adam Holzman (keys) and Niko Tsonev (guitars), to accompany him. The shows immersed fans in a rich sensory experience: rear speakers provide surround-sound effects, giant screens show off Lasse's films made specifically to accompany these songs, and cutting-edge lighting designs giving texture to each song. Get All You Deserve captures one of the highlight shows from the tour, recorded at a sold-out Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City. This new 3-Disc version of 'Get All You Deserve' will be presented in Media Book packaging.

Review: True Musical Genius - The ' Get All You Deserve' set is the live culmination of two studio albums and proves that Steven Wilson is not just brilliant in the studio. This set is not the only live album from this tour, to get the bills paid and get the tour around Europe he had to raise money quickly so he produced a limited edition of 3000 cd's called 'Catalogue, Preserve, Amass' which was largely made up of the first gig at Shepherd's Bush, London. It was a big success, sold out quickly and can now only be found on auction sites, it shows his determination to make this tour happen. This set is more slickly produced and the 5.1 surround sound on the DVD is just awesome which I suppose is not surprising seeing as Robert Fripp is letting him do all the mixes on the King Crimson back catalogue. Steven Wilson never sits still, how he finds time to keep so many high quality projects( Porcupine Tree, No-Man, Blackfield, Bass Communion and solo work) going is amazing. My only regret about the success of his solo work is that it could mean the sidelining of his other work for sometime to come but one has to expect that of a man who is constantly pushing the musical boundaries. The new solo album should be out in late March, I can't wait!
Review: The Ultimate Steven Wilson Experience on DVD - There is nothing on this DVD that disappoints. The jazz and ambient progressive elements draw you in and each track blends beautifully into the next. Get all you deserve showcases brilliant musicians and together they take you on a magical musical ride which you don't want to end. Steven Wilson's quirky side is more evident in this DVD and you sense that he is in his element conducting the musicians around him. The brilliant Adam Holzman on keyboards ("sectarian" is pure genius); Marco Minnemann on drums is faultless; Nick Beggs on bass/stick/backing vocals is awesome; Niko Tsonev on guitar is spell binding; Theo Travis on sax/flute/clarinet/keys takes it to another level; and finally the main man himself, Steven Wilson, with his seamless vocals and awesome rhythm guitar and keys make "Get All You Deserve" an astonishing musical experience. I can't get enough of this guy, he is truly one of a kind and continues to innovate musically. Just buy it and immerse yourself in The Steven Wilson Experience!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best live blurays ever.
*by M***S on 20 January 2013*

I know many will think my title is a bit 'over-the-top' but I DO feel this is as good as any bluray live album released to date. Why? Because: 1/Visually it is stunning and the camera angles are expertly shot (not the 'Wayne's World' style 'extreme close-ups' which many rock blurays suffer from for example}; 2/ sound quality is equally stunning {in fact when you take the output of your bluray to a good asychronous dac it is hard to hear much difference between this and the cd version even when played over a good cd transport); and finally of course the music, which includes the performance of the musicians is excellent and IMO better than the originals. If I was to be ULTRA picky I might say that Steven Wilson's voice perhaps wasn't at his best but really that would be splitting hairs because the addition of Marco Minnerman on drums and Adam Holzman on keyboards in particular elevate Steven Wilson's fine solo music to even greater heights. For anyone interested in 'getting into' Steven Wilson's solo stuff, start here!
