Revealer Trim Carpentry Tool and Finish Ruler Multitool

The functionality of this tool is 2nd to none. You can set it to tons of different profiles for your reveals, and it measures all the gaps on your doors and windows so they operate perfectly. I bought this because I had a customer who had moved and had a door and frame that were very nice and extremely old. There was something special about it to him. It was the 1st door I'd ever hung, even though he didn't know. I used this tool for the 1st time that day on a door install, and it was flawless. The door swings shut and latches perfectly. It's installed flawlessly, and I've paid people to hang doors for me that didn't do nearly as good. I give all the credit to this tool. I immediately ordered another because honestly I wouldn't even attempt to install a door without it. And everything is metal and very high quality. It has a magnet on the bottom so you can find studs with it, and comes with a tether which I immediately put on. I have 1 in a pouch with special tools that are indispensable to me on my jobs, and I keep it in my trunk unless I am using any of the tools on it. Then the other is in one of my template boxes with various tools for cabinetry or finish carpentry. I'm so glad I found this, if you're hanging doors it's indispensable and if you're doing finishing there are a lot of tools to choose from kind of like this, but none that can adjust the reveal like this. It's a must have. I don't say this often, but buy it and thank me later.

Best tool I have used for making a Revile on windows and doors. The magnet is strong so it stays where I put it in my tool bag and it's fast to adjust to the size I need. Also very strong and durable I've had it for a couple years now.

Good quality and easy to use. The magnet is a handy feature. While not used that much while trimming doors, having it in the toolbox has come in useful several times.

Great product

Each crew should all have matching gauges and that would, at least in my brain, make for a far more uniform therefore better finish. Screw making these on a table saw anymore this us the one and done real deal bi know it looks trivial but I gotta admit after using this after my first set of doors (handy reached windows yet) that I would probably now pay double. Even the hinge side of those interior doors are less of a pain. One little invention that I am honestly impressed with all the g fit, form and function. Made a believer out of me. Think the difference between not having strait tread gauges and then having the new style oversized stair nuts. Doesn’t seem like it would be, but it is a game changer.

This is such an under rated tool. The magnet sticks right to my trim gun when I'm casing doors it's always there.

What an amazing little device!

Very useful tool for many applications. Increases accuracy and makes for a more efficient, productive workflow; a real moneymaker. Kinda wish the fit and finish was nicer (the sliding pieces have a significant amount of play in both pitch and yaw when the set screw is loosened for adjustment, slowing down the workflow when measuring as extra care is needed for accuracy) but for $50, can't really complain.

Works very well for setting and marking reveal on trim (why I bought it). Markings are accurate as long as you reference the bottom of the line. The idea of using it to set saw blade or router bit height is nice, but not practical. There isn't enough of a base to allow the tool to stand unsupported so it falls over. That said, it's a well made all metal tool so I would still recommend it for its primary function - reveals.

Great quality. Sure, you could live without it, but if you install allot of trim it makes for quick work, gives you consistent reveals, and saves allot of time.
