So far this is very quiet, and cooling my i5 more than adequately. The cooler on my i7 froze solid and the CPU got red hot and all I could smell was burning plastic, but at least the CPU didn't burn out. So, I ordered this cooler for next day delivery and it came next day. Replacing the standard Intel fan was easy, and after scraping off the old silicon grease, I fitted the new fan in a few minutes. The positives for the fan are: easy fitment and effective. The negative for the fan is that is it noisier than the original Intel fan, and far noisier than I had expected. So, just 4*
