I did not realize it came with one when I ordered the Crown-Pro so I ordered the Starret protractor. The Kreg one (at least to me is flimsy and difficult to use), The Starret one is great and is sturdy and easy to read all angles including spring angles. **Q: Has anyone tried to use this with larger crown (6-7”)? Or do you have another one you’d recommend?** A: If you butt it up against your miter saw fence sloping away from the fence you would not have enough room to lay something wider than 5" on it. but those 2 black stripes you see on the picture are extension pieces that slide out. You could place a spacer block, (something like a a 2x4) between it and a fence to make room for a taller crown. **Q: Can it be used on a vaulted ceiling** A: Apparently so, but it is not addressed in the instructions. There are u-tube videos showing how, e.g., https://youtu.be/w81H_HmEM3g. I did my first crown molding job and decided to buy this hoping it would make it easier. It did.Couple things to note1 the reference labels are very handy, letting you know which way to adjust the miter and which side to be on with the tool. However. You must remember when it says the left side corner for example, that’s not the left side of the molding you’re putting up. It’s the left side of the corner itself. This is very important. So whenever you read the stickers or hear that, put the left or right side of the molding out of your head and think from the perspective of the corner itself. A corner has a left and a right side and that’s how you should think about it.2. Exercise caution while using this because you’re molding will be elevated off the base of your miter saw. Meaning you’re cutting a piece of wood off the end of your molding and once the cut completes it drops.
