It's not practical. we bought it and did not use it more than thrice. An adult need to be there holding it since it was sliding and moving. Not safe. **Q: Please can someone whose bought one measure the section which has to fit through the toilet seat.** A: This is adjustable so will fit many sized seats. **Q: Seems as though this seat is for tiny children - not suitable for a 3 year old - but just in case, what size does the rim of the toilet need to be to** A: Measures 24cm by 30cm. So the inner rim of your toilet seat would need to be slightly bigger than this.. I noticed on some of the reviews that people seemed to be using it wrong, the flat bit of the seat goes under the toilet seat, so the toilet seat sits on top of the training seat and holds it in place..
