The player has been absolutely reliable and has been a "God-send". Easy to use with just a couple of things to note; the volume has to be reset each time the player is turned on - even when halted to insert a new disc, and after pressing the "play" button it takes probably 10/15 seconds for the audio to come on stream. ( If you just pause play the volume remains as set and the audio is there on pressing play again.) Book marking works OK if you need to skip back or forward. I use high capacity rechargeable AA batteries and they give good playing time. Wouldn't want to be without my player now. Heartily recommended. But if you use an external power source when the power goes off it does not automatically power back on. What you need to do is press the play/pause button to get it power up and resume from where it left off **Q: does it have mains powered facility?** A: There is a 4mm external power socket on the unit - There are various options to power this up externallyYou can use a 5V USB to 4mm Barrel Jack Plug Male DC Power socket, or a 5V Adaptor 4mm Ø Connector (AC Mains to 5 Volt DC - UK Plug) **Q: Does this have auto stop when the CD has finished** A: Yes, it does stop at end of CD.
