They are sturdy and durable, feel nice on the hand and stand the test of time (except for the one that one of my rats chewed through). The design and material is simple, yet effective. I have ended up buying lots of these, including the corner platforms, and the single short platforms, because the cage as it originally was, had a great deal of unusable space in it.
