Every time I’ve tried switching to a cheaper one my hair has suffered. I’ve been using it for around 5 years now. I have wavy hair that gets oily quickly (always been this way) and this works great. Recently it had made my scalp a little itchy after but it was only when I was washing my hair daily and had really hard water in the US. In the UK it’s never been an issue. It leaves my hair so smooth and healthy. My hair dresser always comments on how good my hair looks! It doesn’t leave build up like other cheaper shampoos. My boyfriend has very curly textured hair and it was too drying for him as he needs a lot of moisture. So might not be for that hair type. Smells nice and lathers up really well! Turns out to be a bit of both. I do feel the difference in my hair after using this - you don't need much - and it also seems to leave it tangle free and therefore much easier to style. I have fine hair but lots of it and this shampoo really seems to improve the condition. I've also found that if I've had a build up of hair products settling on my hair this shampoo will remove the gunk but not leave any residue itself. The bottle itself has a press down and squeeze tab on the cap so you don't squirt too much out which can help prevent using too much.
