My dog will still pull, but she is no longer choking herself and making herself cough terribly. When she barks at other dogs it is a lot easier to pull her back and control her. **Q: I have 2 Daschunds and use walking vests on them which do not pull off if I am walking ahead of them. What about these?** A: My dog managed to wiggly out twice! My dog is a leash puller, but he can't get out of he's pulling. He can, however, get out if I retract the leash so that he's right next to me (no slack on the leash), he can get out. Imagine you putting your hands up to take a T shirt off. That's how my dog got out not once, but twice even after tightening the strap around his body. The strap hugs him so tight, that I have to be careful not to clip his hair when buckling. **Q: can you use this for cats?** A: absoultlly!!! my cat is whom I bought it for. She loves going on walks with my dog and I around the neighborhood and this harness is great as it doesn't choke her like the strap harness'. on the leg thing that Jeanine A. said on 1/25/13. Make sure you measure your dog as I thought I would order a medium size but after reading some reviews about the sizes... I measured my dog first before deciding which size and a medium/large size would not fit him! Decided to go for extra large (XL) and it fits him perfect. Really comfortable, lovely soft material, strong and very lightweight. It will dry if wet. I tested it by pulling the 'D clip' at back to see if it is strong and won't pull off. It is pretty strong so I'm happy with it.
